I am trying to decide on a resort in either Cancun or Playa Del Carmen. I have been looking at The Royal in Cancun and PDC. Has anyone been to both resorts? What did you like/dislike about either? Which resort has the best beach/turquoise water? I want to do a beach wedding over a gazeebo wedding, so the beach is really important to me. I have also read some posts about being some beach reconstruction going on. Is that affecting either of these beaches?

 

I want to stay with an adult only resort, but I still want it to be affordable for my guests. If you have any other resort suggestions please let me know!!
