I know that I can wear high heels and have the ceremony in the gazebo (not so great pics) and then pop down to the beach for the gorgeous beach pics.

BUT - I really don't love how the gazebo ceremony pics look! For all the reasons you said - and I don't care for that DARK SOLID BROWN WOOD ROOF that you always see inside. I love seeing the turquoise ocean/water and sky in the pics, not a dark brown solid roof and low/shaded lighting.

Anyways - I would do beach wedding in a heartbeat, if I could get some height. Has anyone seen brides to PLATFORM FLIP FLOPS/SANDALS on the beach? Or can they put down a whole wooden runway and platform?

We are getting married there (The Royal PDC) on October 4, 2010. Was planning a 4pm wedding. Haven't picked a photographer, but MATT you guys are at the top of our list! :)

This has been such an informative thread!

Beach recommendations would be very helpful! I didn't know that there are lot of things to consider for a beach ceremony? It's all in the open, not under a roof or anything like that. Interesting!

Thanks for taking time to do this for Royal gazebo brides!

Amen Matt! Very well put. :)

One other thing to note ladies. If there is a table placed in the gazebo for a unity candle, arrangement or what have you, make sure when you rehearse that you stand in front of the table, and don't end up behind it! When we shot there last the couple ended up behind the table which was covered with a long table cloth. The brides dress was hidden from all the guests during most of the ceremony. All you could see was the upper halves of the couple! Just something to think about. :)
