Travel Health Insurance now Required for CDN's in CUBA

I'm not sure if some of you may already be aware, but I just read an article that said Canadians traveling down to Cuba are now required to have medical coverage that is approved by Cuban authorities, or you will have to purchase local coverage, in order to travel to Cuba. It sounds like the law just came in to effect recently but I don't know how talked-about it was before that.

 

I know absolutely nothing about travel to Cuba otherwise but thought it might help someone!
