I'm not really bothered about a hen do to be honest, I'm going to a friends hen weekend at butlins *gulp* this weekend so maybe i'll change my mind?

 

I think we might all go out when we're in mexico to Coco Bongo's as a joint thing. Pretty sure the FI will have a stag here too x

It was from an ebay seller recommended quite highly on here! Gianinarbridal, I just sent them the pics of the dress and a VERY small deposit and they send proof pics and u can decide to purchase the dress or not!

Yeah when I saw the pics on my iphone it looked really good, its just looking closely compairing it that I noticed those things. Overall I think it looks great though x

Funny you should mention butlins! I'm going in June for a girls weekend away! I can't wait for a rest lol. Let my hair down and have a fun weekend. Never been so should be an experience! lol

Kerry your dress looks lovely and just like the picture - i think unless you compare it exactly to the original you would never know any of the points you have raised in your questions. If i was being ultra picky and it was my dress i would just ask them to put some more jewells around the middle section to ensure it was just like the original. But it looks gorgeous and i know you will too. My dress should be ready for my first fitting in mid June - hence the reason i went for a 3 mile run this eve - lol!

As far as music weve picked Enyas watermark to be played as the guests wait.Paul wanted Buddy hollies true love ways so hes having that as he walks and waits!!!!His girls our bridesmaids will walk to disneys a whole new world.(at this point ill need the TOJ) i cry whenever i hear it.Then im walking to lonestar amazed very popular it seems and i need to find something instrumental for the sand ceremony(enya again maybe) now the wedding planner says we can basically do what we like hurrahhhhh.Then as we walk back down the aisle as man and wife we are having Shannia Twains from this moment on.

We arnt going to having a stag/hen do neither are we having a do when we get back.Neither of us has a huge family and those that we want are actually all going to be there so money saved phewwww

Today i went to the registrar and arranged an appointment for a notice of no inpediment which costs £33 each then it has to be sent to the foreign office to be apostiled along with full birth certificates and decree nisa each paper costs about £40 so that x6 then it gets faxed to Greece where they translate it which is more ££££ then theres the £250 for the lady whos helped point me in the right direction with it all who will also be there on the wedding day to translate then finally £200 for the privilage of being married in Greece with the court costs.

Just as well ive found some bargains along the way.

I know this is another noval in the making but if any of you are looking to do a boudouir shoot check out foryoureyesonly.I got mine done here not cheap!!!! but god i looked good and over a month after i gave Paul his little black book (40th) birthday pressie i still could ask for anything and get it lol.

The smile hasnt left his face !!!!!

Kerry your dress is very pretty you could do what ive done and wait until you have the dress and order crystals on line ive paid £45 but the wedding shop wanted £500 for a sash from another dress that i borrowed to see if bling would work with the lace.Im waiting for them to arrive Etsy has some fab stuff belts etc but they were expensive too

When they arrive ill post the website if im happy of course!!!

Well you could research it i guess its called dreamtime creations.(US)

The girls on etsy that make these belts etc have to get there supplies from somewhere and honestly i found some of the items they use on this site.

I guess i just cut the middle man out.The seamstress in the shop said if i got the materials she would make something.Instead of making a belt the crysals ive ordered come(36 inches)or 1 yd for a row. We can just sew/ add them on the seam under the bust line.My dress is a pronovois named desert.if you google it a girl is selling one preowned shes had the sleeves removed i may keep mine depending if the boobage responds kindly to some boobie tape lol does that stuff work!!!!

The ladies in the shop didnt think it would work but anyway ive got the bling i needed to make the dress my dream dress i hope you work your dress out when does it get shipped to you?

I have managed to complete lots of things for our wedding and the time has flewn by what will i do come the end of september when its all over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kerry - Your dress is wonderful! I wouldn't worry over the small details! unless they really make the difference to you? Otherwise I think it a wonderful resemblance! U must be so excited!!

 

Im lagging a bit in my DIY Projects! haven't even got the stuff yet! Im doing the invitations and Welcome books....so far! although Keep adding to my list whilst reading this addictive site!! LOL!

It wonderful to have this thread of all us UK planners! Although I have been to mexico twice already I find it difficult planning fro a distance? We're torn wether to have a AHR though! we originally didn't want one but now were under pressure form the family who cant make it to have one? we'll see!

 

OhI' loving 4 weddings and wedding sos too! I really wish there was a US version of 4 weddings, think it would be great!!

Some of you ladies will have read my previus post regarding the Gran Caribe and first choice, well i am back and armed with lots more knowledge than when i started lol.

 

Ok....so i went to Thomas Cook who advised they could book the Gran Caribe via Cosmos or First Choice that was until this morning when Cosmos have now pulled all flights to Cancun and there seems to be no insight into if they will be signing them up again the lady in the TA said it could be they have decided to sign contracts with someone else for another destination, so back to booking soley with First Choice as it is cheaper to book direct with First Choice rather than going via Thomas Cook.

 

Regarding the wedding side of things i emailed the hotel direct and a lovely lady called Doreen emailed me back the same day and said she would love to help me with our wedding plans and gave me lots of information price lists etc but 2012 prices are not available yet so been going off 2011 prices as a guide.

 

So as it stands at the moment i will have to stick to booking the holiday with first choice and the wedding direct with the Gran Caribe and for now keep an eye on thomas cook/cosmos.

 

Although i have 2 years nearly to plan my wedding is there anything i should be doing now i feel in limbo, i dont know where to start for making a list and things what i need to get etc.

hello! Kerry your dress is beautiful!! I can't wait to start looking for my dress going to start in the summer some time need to be strict on the diet in the mean time!! It's so exciting can't wait! I am open minded just now about the style of dress I am going to try on loads and have fun deciding! xxx
