Michelle - Your MIL is barking!!!!!! She sounds they type of person who only does nice things so that people think she is nice when in reality she is a complete nightmare and only cares about herself...... Poor Scarlett she obviously doesn't want to go bless her...... Thing is when she gets older she will probably refuse to go anyway and at least no one can say you stopped her from seeing Scarlett

 

Ordered Natasha's (my daughter) bridesmaid dress today, decided to go with topaz blue (very similar to tourquoise) with an ivory sash.  Will try to get a pic on here......

Dress fitting at 11 today!!!! ARGH!!!! Cant wait , booked our seats together on plane yesterday too..... we ususally wouldnt bother but as its free, why the heck not!!! haha x

Lyndsey - have you got any pix of your hen? glad you had a great time. Mine is next week and i'm so looking forward to it now! 

 

Sam - you hit the nail on the head there. Its all a front, all so the family look like they are such lovely ppl when behind closed doors its a different storey all together. My family arnt fake, take us as we are is how we are so i find them really odd. FI is like the odd ball cos he is like me! I think he finds them embarrassing but dont know how to deal with it. He needs to stand up to HER and put her in her place but struggles with it big time! Thats why it was easier for me to back right away and have nothing to do with them. You are also right. Scarlett is so like me so she will defo see her nan for what she really is when she is older.

Here is a pic of the bridesmaid dress but it will be topaz blue with an ivory sash, my daughter is blonde with blue eyes so the colour should look really lovely on her, what do you think???

Aww sam they are lovely dresses, i love the caught up skirt effect, i have that on my wedding dress. The colour sounds perfect. Can't wait to see it all come together )

It is all so exciting! I have today sent off our final payment for our AHR and buffet menu. We just need to go down there the week we come back from Mexico and go through the night with them ) 

 

I've just bought some small bottles of bubbly to have put in the rooms for the girls when we arrive for my hen next week, with a little card to say 'thank you for coming on my hen'.. luckily my friend lives 5mins from the hotel so she is going to drop them in there for me. So excited ) i need to buy a little box or bag to put the little love hearts and wine glass charms in! I must get to the shops, hard without a car! (

Hows it all going?  Havent been on for ages as its been chaotic at work but I shant bore you with all that!

 

Just wanted to quickly get on and say WOOOOOOOP WOOOOOOOOP Nicy!  Not long to go hun!  get that planning thread draughted as its gonna be a whopper!  Cant wait to see all your gorgeous pics when you get back.  you are going to make such a lovely bride!

 

14 weeks till we fly out.  Starting to slightly cack myself.  Desperately trying to drop some more weight before dress fitting - I am determined to not be Jabba the Hutt over there.

 

Enjoy your long weekend beautifyul ladies - meant to be some cracking weather again this weekend!

I got did a CD for my hens and got them a wine charm each and a thank you card :-) Lovely gesture to show how much we appriciate them :-) xx Bet you cant wait now x

Thanks Mel, I hope to get planning thread up this weekend, to be honest i have wrote most of it on a word document, i need to copy and paste and then add pix, that will take me the longest so hope to do it sun or mon.... I am off tomorrow but out with my friends shopping... make most of bank hol and nice weather then im back in work sat :-( BUT have my 2nd hen do on sat night in Carlisle.... So whilst im recovering sun i will try to get thread up for you girls and some pix of my hen :-)

 

WHOO WHOO, got my dress home today!!! :-) Like a million weights have dropped of my shoulder.... A massive thing i dont have to think about!!!!

 

Just off to order my helium for my balloons for my AHR :-) xx
