Ha ha no i didn't take any pix you will have to wait and see. Mind you everyone else was snapping away i just hope they are not showing everyone...i dont think they would :o/

 

I can't believe ppl are going off on their hens, mine is in 3 weeks time and i still can't get my head around how fast it is going!! in 7wks time we will be in Mexico!!!!!!

 

We got our wedding rings from jewellers. FI got his band in Fraser Hart and mine was from Ernest Jones. MIL from hell works in there and FI ordered it with her discount so it worked out about £700ish for both of them using the discount.

 

Well girls, dare i say it............................ i woke up this morning for the first time in 7 LONG weeks to only a small niggling pain on my left side. I dont know if it was the 20 poops i did yesterday lol. Sorry for being rude :o/ or the buscopan i took but i feel slightly normal today. NO back pain. If the little niggle went i would feel fine. I dont want to speak to soon and am gonna carry on with the tabs for now and see how i am tomorrow morning..not completely 100% but getting there....

 

good luck to all the girls for their dress fittings. Its such a lovely time, i can't believe i'm done now till we go...x

 

A little MIL rant!! she has Scarlett for dinner once a fortnight. I drop her off and FI collects her so there is minimal contact with me and the dragon... she hadn't paid up her hen balance and i thought oh good she's not gonna come. I mean she doesn't even answer the door to me she sends FIL or SIL and i'm never invited in, not that i would and it doesn't bother me either. It is mutual we dont see each other. Then yesterday she paid her balance into my sisters account!!!!!!! I can't get round her coming. We dont flipping talk. Its all a front to make herself look good. I just dont get it. She knows i dont want her there and apart from saying hello i wont talk to her. I mean she has to come to Mexico for FI but she could stear clear of my hen. Absolutely gobsmacked at the cheek of the woman!!

OMG i've had a card put through the door with a picture of me and the girls on the front reading inside...... be ready for collection tonight at 7.30pm and dont eat before hand.....have no idea what is going on. Will let you know later )

Sorry if you have already covered this!!  But my WC advised to make our wedding in Cancun legal in UK we need to go to Chetumal which is 5 hours away???

Does anyone know about this & what we need to do??

OK so im VERY VERY excited, i have recieved "THE EMAIL" :-) I can actually start getting my arrangements to the WC.... 

 

 

The only bit of the email which worries me is this

 

 The Marriage Certificate given after the Legal Ceremony is only valid in Mexico, you are able to legalize this Document  in your Country by yourself. 

 

I asked and asked TC about this when we booked and was assured that the hotel or whatever took care of this.... Now im going to have to look at costs etc to get it legalised here in the UK.... Im not chancing that if we dont we might not be legally married!!!! :-(

 

ALSO i have paid my deposit for hair and make up to the hotel :-) Massive weight of the shoulders x

I am reading everyone's post on here about the marriages being legal in Uk and I am getting confused (doesn't take much LOL) After we are married do we get a certifcate???? Do we take that home and have it made legal here? Or do they do it and we get it in six months???? Will get in touch with Thomsons wedding department and see what they say???

Sorry girls that I cant help more about marriage certificates...we are getting married in Dominican and to avoid all of this legalisation and crazy document translation fees (that only Dominican seem to need), but hope you will figure everything out soon ladies )

I meant to say that to avoid all the craziness with documents we decided to go to register office week before we leave for Dominican, so this way we know that we are 100% legally married lol and I can change my name as soon as we come back from DR too

Also ladies as I promised you yesterday, here is my review on Smooch rings

 

Last night very pleasant lady arrived to show us a lot of rings and we spend probably about an hour trying them all on )) I found few that I think I like but nothing special to be honest and my FI now knows more or less what he wants his ring to be as well, which is great!!! ))

 

He decided to have palladium ring, cos its just like platinum (they are from the same family) but 3 times less expensive and after talking to Smooch ladies I decided to have palladium wedding ring too, cos my engagement ring is platinum and apparently you can wear these two together without any problems cos they are almost the same thing )) which i was really happy about cos I didnt want to spend a £1000 on my wedding ring...

So when she gave us prices of the rings we have chosen we were quite surprised...and not in a good way lol We new that palladium is quite cheap so we expected for my ring to be around 500-600 and similar for his....but it happened that his ring came up to £680 and mine...£900!!!!

 

Is this normal you think, how much did you girls pay for your rings...if you don't mind me asking! )x

 

I mean if that's how much they cost everywhere then of course we will buy them, but it seemed to us that its a lot of money for palladium rings and especially that I think we have saw some on wedding fair we liked and they were no where near that much...

 

But anyway, after meeting last night we have decided to shop around lol cos we have plenty of time on our hands, so we arranged meeting with Goldfinger ppl and thanks to Michelle C we are meeting Sara 16th April as well )) it will be day after my Birthday as well, which is great

By the way I have spoke with Sara via email and she seems very lovely , so I am really looking forward to our meeting, thank you so much once again Michelle C )x
