for all you girlies who have ordered boxes, are any of you flying with thomas cook i know there dimensions are small side. we do get 20kgs of hold luggage extra but i would like my dress with me. x x

I emailed our WC on Sun, still not heard anything.... i wasnt in a state of panic at the weekend but i am now!!! :-(

 

AND OMG, Its a week on Fri til my Hen in Edinburgh!!!! Cant believe its here already!!! Will get lots and lots of pix for you all :-) OMG, a week on fri..... Then im having a mini hen in Carlisle on Sat 23rd April, whilst Stephen is away in Newcastle for his Stag..... Whilst the cats away and all that!!!! :-)

We are having a private reception at Zavaz plaza by the pool 6-10pm. We get married at 3, so have got a bit of a wait, so Iight have to be a bit late for wedding to pass a bit of time hehe! I'm not doing a cocktail hour just thought we could go to a bar while photos are being done. I've got photographer 2:30- 5 then 6:30-9.

Well I had the strangest night last night. MIL is staying at FIL house (they split up 9yrs ago) for the week to visit son. Very bizarre her being there and she just turns up saying that she has arranged it with the kids my FIL has no say in it. He just phones me and says the bitch is here again!! My son went round for dinner to keep FIL company, when we went round to pick him up my daughter freaks out crying' I'm scared'. She has only seen her 4times in the last 3yrs. So we was round there for 3hrs and not once did she mention the wedding (she's not coming to Mexico). Arrrhhhh

 

Have had manic couple of weeks, bridesmaid dresses are in which means I can now book our fittings in :-) can't wait to put my dress in again :-)

 

Well week off planning next week as it's mine and hollies birthday so it's all birthday birthday birthday!! No doubt I will still pop on here though.

we are having the ceremony at 3 then cocktail reception 4-6 then a 1 hour break and our evening reception 7-11.

I've had another bad night. Scarlett screamed ALL bloody night with ear ache bless her so another trip to the emergency doc's and she's got antibiotics for ear infection!!! God i may as well move in that place!!! I've got doc's tues for my back and our jabs. Although Scarlett can't have her's now cos of the ear infection so we'll have to re book hers BOO!!! Can you believe my luch and illness?? I've never known anything like it! It's beyond a joke now!

 

On the plus side we picked up her flowergirl dress... not a good pic of her as she's not feeling 100% but here goes.....

Had to put the kirby grips on the actual curl as my layers kept popping up!!!

 

 

 

Now i will have it like this for AHR only neater, but again you get the idea......

 

 

My sis said my hair was too soft and my layers kept coming loose (hence the hair poking up at the top) LOL x

girls, you will never guess whats happened....on saturday someone opened our front door stole our keys and stole our car so sick!! just what you need 5 weeks before you go away for your wedding!

on a happier note kev got his shoes and we did a bit more holiday shopping x

 

i feel a bit sad that we wont receive our wedding certificate so can't change my name for 6 months x

OMG.... I cant believe someone did that, thats awful, Cant believe the nerve of some people :-( Its disgraceful, Do the police have any leads?

 

We have been warned in our town a few weeks back to lock doors all time, as a group of what i believe to be druggies were walking in peoples houses and stealing things.... and if walking in and being seen before getting anything, saying sorry and saying they thought is was "such and such" a persons house, then walking back out.

 

I cant believe this happened to you at all let alone just weeks before your wedding :-( Much love chica xx

I have to say thanks for flagging up this dress box, i checked it out and the great part is that it meets the restrictions for travel with Virgin Atlantic AND best of all if its personalised I can use to flash the check in desk and on board hostesses to get an upgrade and hopeful a special mention by the captain... is that bad???

You have no idea how odd their dimensions are ... I flew Thomas Cook and just thought I'd get a carry-on bag that would meet the dimensions, but HAHA, it doesn't exist (hence my first 'panic post' to this forum).  I ended up ordering my box from this website: http://www.emptybox.co.uk/products_travelCook.asp  They actually have a 'Thomas Cook suitable' wedding travel box...  I only ordered mine a week before I left, so I didn't care what colour it came in, but it ended up having a nice pearl-coloured pattern on it.

 

If you booked your wedding through Thomas Cook, you don't have to worry about this, because they allow you to carry wedding attire on the plane, but if, like me, you didn't... I highly recommend this box... and not just because it was the only one I could find

Aaah Michelle I really hope things get sorted out for you.....so horrible feeling ill & for such a long time as well, 8 weeks before wedding is stress you don't need as well.  Everyone I speak to though seems to have some illness or another, me & Richard were only saying at the weekend that since Christmas one of us in the house has either had a cold, cough, sick or something!!  We all need some Mexican sunshine to get us back on track!!

 

Just goint to join in the gang as well.....Richard was no where near as impressed with my wedding dress box as me....I was like oh isn't it gorgeous, & look at my name on it, & the bow is exactly our colour!!.....he was 'yeah its nice....'....lol....calm down with your excitement...hahahaha!!

 

Lyndsey....OMG....I cannot believe what has happened to you!!!! Some people are just the scum of the earth....like Nicy said, have they any idea who might be responsible & has your car turned up anywhere...bloody b*****ds!!!! Hope you are ok though honey, must have really shaken you up xx

 

Is anyone doing a sand ceremony?  I would like to as think it is something that will involve Brooke & Harrison in the ceremony but the vases seem really expensive & come from the states?  Was thinking of maybe buying some small vases from M & S & just buying one larger one with a lid....any thoughts??

Thanks girls i hope i feel better soon, couldn't sleep last night cos of pain and worry. So close to the wedding it's just our luck something will happen and i not be able to go!! Went for Blood test this morning so got to wait a week for those results.
