Samcalv1 I love the dress, it's stunning! I also haven't gone for a typical beachy dress mine is more princess type. If it's the one what does it matter.cheesy.gif

Lyndsey can't wait to see your photos of your invites and welcome booklet. Did you do your welcome booklet on vista?

I went to Hobbycraft yesterday to look at stuff for invites for our AHR and was totally blown away by the amount of things they do. Who is it that was doing a butterfly theme as they had beautiful butterflies that you can stick on you invites.

Thanks so much for looking for me Herbie......the trouble I am having is I have a 2 year old, 3 year old & 10 year old.  What I may do is get the 10 year old from Marks & Spencers & look elsewhere for the little ones :)

Samcalv I LOVE your dress!!!! & great taste its similar to mine :), I have had the shoulder strap on mine altered so I can have it on or off, so am going to have it off to walk down the aisle with my hair down & then put the strap on & pull my hair up for the evening.

As you can see not 'beachy' at all but like Michelle said if its your 'one' doesn't matter.

Will look out for shoes for you Michelle!x

Hi girls,

Hope you are all well?  I have been off work/computer for the last 2 days as I havent been well.  I havent been sleeping - anxiety etc  Especially with everything that has been happening in Christchurch.

My invites are being printed as we speak!  Im very excited but they are super expensive!  Im not really sure how that happened!  Anyway, they're being printed now so hey ho.  Just cant wait to send them out.  We have included a question on the RSVP about a favourite song to get you on the dance floor so I cant wait to see the responses.

Sounds like everyones wedding dress fittings went really really well!  So happy for you girls.

Nicyx - it must be so exciting for you now!  It feels like yesterday not October last year when I first came on here and you were making barefoot sandals and there was that other lovely lady who got married in Cyprus with her kids and his kids???  I cant remember her name but she was a sweet little thing.  Anyway - you only have 9 weeks to go before you fly out.  So so so exciting!

Charmaine - great news on the church!  Sounds like everything is coming together nicely and so early too - you will be well prepared.  I feel so sorry for you having the MIL over for 2 whole weeks!

Samcalv1 - your dress is BEAUTIFUL!  I just love it.  I am sure you will look amazing in it!

I'm not much if a tiara/veil kind of girl so I have some beautiful art deco/1930's vintage drop earrings.   My hair is long, dark and pain-in-the-arse curly.  Do you think it would be too much to add a flower in there?  I have to wear my hair up because of the back on my dress so I thought I might try a flower.  Have you seen any nice ones around?

Thanks

The invites we had to post had to be large letter stamp as to bulky for a normal 1st class stamp so yeh it was dear. Thank god we could hand deliver alot of ours too ;o)

Lyndsey to post a pic is easy. At the top of the message box you type in should be a tool bar similar to that on a word doc. There is an box with a pic in it that when your hover your mouse over should say insert image. Click on that and then just browse to were you have saved your pictures and double click on then. Then submit and away you go.... look forward to seeing them :o)

Im going from Bates to Creely so length not a huge issue but wierd all the same, still havent tried though.... i know what i'll be doing in a few mins... LOL x

I have had a busy couple of days Calvin's 40th Birthday on Friday and he is going with his friends to Rome to watch Wales v Italy so I decided we would have a family meal on Tues and he could have his prezzies and cards then.... I got him tickets to see Phantom of the Opera in London (his friend John plays the Phantom so he has got me a good deal on tickets!!) Calv has always wanted to see John in Phantom so when he saw the tickets he had a tear in his eye bless him.....:-) I've booked us into a lovely hotel and then we are going to have food in the Ivy (again curtesy of John) I cannot wait!!!!! and it's Calv's birthday hee hee.

I've also picked my dress and I LOVE IT!!!!! So glad I waited for the right one..... and listened to the bridal shop owner.... I went to one bridal shop and she was really pressurising me to put a deposit on a dress (thank god I didn't) went to another bridal shop who told me to wait as they were having new designs in and that I had enough time to choose a dress......xxxx So the first one I tried on from the new design I knew was the one. xxxxx  Here is a pic

1287150647-2223_20Front.jpgI am sooooo excited now xxxxx

That dress id just lush..... Its just lovely, the skirt is unusual i love it x

The news is deverstating at the moment... I feel for you Mel, being your home country an all.... I hope all your friends and family are ok and I am thinking of all the deverstated familys out there x {{{Hugs}}} x

Hope you flash your invites :-) Great idea about the song in the RSVP... with id have read that a day ago... lol, i would have stole the idea x

I know, how crazy is it, making them Barefoot sandals seems like a million life times ago... but like only yesterday at the same time.... wierd.... I never thought it would come round this quick... im so happy for us all xx

I was never a tiara and veil gal, and never even entertained the idea of a veil until i tried one on when i went to order my dress, now im definatly a veil girl... still not gone for the tiara as i never suited any, so i have gone for a comb....

I did want a flower originally, i dont know if you remember me posting this...

I love it

Im still thinking of this only slightly higher as im wearing my veil underneath and instead of a flower my comb.... my hair is natrualy curly/wavey/frizzy so being up will be better for me and as i have a few curls anyway this might just work.

I think the vintage earings and the flower will be fine... not too much at all :-)

Cant wait to see your trail pix :-) Oh, and its NEVER too early!!! LOL

Do they know you have earrings for them? Have you had a chat to your sister about it (if she knows)? I personally like the idea about sat when having the hair done as would be nice to see then with the hair styles..... Then maybe go for a nice lunch with your sister and give them to her then ASAP after your other BM's have theirs??? x
