Gift Waiting at Store for Us: What should we do?

I have a question about gift registry's. We got a call today from Home Outfitters saying that they had a gift for us that could be picked up. I'm not sure what the etiquette is: do we pick it up and save it for our shower next week? Do we just take it home and open it? Do we have someone else pick it up for us? Do we wait until after the shower to pick it up? I don't even know if it will be wrapped!

 

I guess it must be from someone who can't make it to the shower, but I can't imagine who it is that wouldn't just send it along with someone else to the shower. But I'm also dying to know what it is! LOL Any advice would be appreciated!!!

Go pick it up - it's a gift for you! If they sent it to your home you'd open it wouldn't you? I know I would!

I'd pick it up and bring it to the shower to open it, unless it's really big or something.

Definately go pick it up and open it! The sender would probably worry if you they knew it's just sitting there at the store.
