Seamstress in Ny

Hi ladies, I need help from my NYC girls, or girls in other areas that might know of a good seamstress in NYC. My welcome/rehearsal dinner dress is chiffon with a satin lining underneath. I am a whopping 5' 1 so I need an experienced seamstress to hem it for me. I've taken dresses to tailors before to get hemmed and they've messed it up. I don't want to chance it with this dress.

I wish I could be of help to recommend someone, but I can tell you to call a few bridal shops to see if they have someone experienced to send you to. Good Luck .... I had to have someone outside of a bridal shop do my alterations since I purchased my gown lovely worn. I contacted a local bridal shop (that I have purchased a number of dresses from... past friends weddings and they were very helpful in giving me names). Were are you getting your bridesmaids dresses from? Maybe they would be able to help you as well

I would like to know to. I purchased my wedding dress from kleinfeld's blowout sale and they will not alter my dress even if I would paid for their alteration fee.

I've had really good luck with a tailor in mid-town. I found him totally by accident when I needed some pants hemmed and he's done just about every type of garment for me at this point (dresses, suits, blouses). Plus his prices are reasonable.
