Service charges on Resort contracts

Curious... I have a Wedding Day contract with the resort to which I am booked with and noticed something that seemed peculiar. In the breakdown of the expenses in which there are 2 sections that have food & drink... 1) being the wedding reception and 2) being the Welcome Brunch, there is the charge for the room space. All this is all totaled & then there is the Service charge of 21%... Should my room be included in this total? Why am I paying a service charge on top of the room. Wouldn't that be just for food and drinks? I haven't talked to them about it yet... wanted to get some feedback from future brides like me. Otherwise everything else has been smooth. Thanks Ladies!
