Any Past Secrets Maroma Brides????

Hello,

 

I am planning on getting married in December at Secrets Maroma Resort. I am filling out the Q and A questionnaire that Cecilia sent me. I am required to choose where on the resort I want to get married and hold the reception. It being a destination wedding, my first thought was the beach for the ceremony and the Pool area for the reception dinner. However, I have been reading about all the people watching the ceremony on the beach and I am also concerned about how cool it might be during the evening eating dinner by the pool.

 

To anyone who has been married there or visited on vacation.... Where do you think the most private and beautiful spot to be married and hold the reception will be?

 

Wedding location options:

Gazebo

Beach

Beach Front Arbor

 

Reception Options:

On the beach

Garden

Pool Terrace

Gazebo Terrace

Ballroom

When in December are you planning on getting married? Our wedding date is December 13th at Secrets Maroma.

 

I have vacationed there before and we choose the beach for the ceremony. It is just too beautiful of setting to not get married on the beach. The staff does a good job of keeping away the on lookers from what I have heard. We also chose to do our reception on the beach but I hear the pool set up is really nice as well as the large room in the World Cafe.

I did a site visit in March and am planning on getting married under the Gazebo and then we are having the reception in the ballroom.

All of the locations are amazing -just depends on how many people you will be having and also preference. We think AC is needed for our grandparents and some parents so we are going with the ballroom for the reception.

 

All of the brides on here are very helpful and can def help with ANY questions!

There are a number of former SMB brides on here, so you're in good hands:-)

 

I'm also pretty sure you can change the locations when you get there (or along the way), even if you put it in your contract...

Our contract was rveised MANY times and only finalized just before the wedding...And even then, when we got there, we changed locations from beach reception to pool-side reception no problem...

Also, weather can/will often dictate locations and weather as we all know can be unpredictable:-)

 

So don't stress TOO much!
