Marquis, Dreams or Barcelo

Recommended Posts

I am trying to decide on a venue in Cabo by the end of this week. I am so confused on what to chose. They are all in my budget and I have seen thousands of reviews on Dreams but none on the other two. If anyone has any ideas or opinions I would love to hear them. I am new here and hope I am doing this correctly. Also, I really have no idea on how many guests we will have. We are inviting around 200, but hope only 60 or less come. Also, still trying to decide if a Thursday or Sunday wedding is better.

Thanks in advance

I think it's best to evaluate what you really want for your wedding and guests. Since not all your choices are all inclusive I would consider the pros and cons of that based on your preferences and your guest list. We decided not to go all inclusive and instead have our guests stay in an all villa location where they have the option of eating out at the great restaurants around town, or eating out within the resort, or preparing food/drinks with items purchased from Costco/Wal-Mart. Since we are providing dinner for our guests on 3 nights we just didn't think they would get their full "moneys-worth" out of an all-inclusive.

Another thing I notice with your choices is that they are pretty spread out geographically. We really wanted our guests to be within walking distance of Cabo San Lucas so they could experience the town without paying an arm and a leg for a taxi ride. So that's something to take into consideration as well.

As far as the day of the week - we went with Friday because we didn't want guests packing up right away after the wedding to get back to work. We figured this way they would have all day Saturday to relax and could leave Sunday to start the work week. In your case, a similar argument could be made for a Thursday wedding.

Sorry for rambling...I hope this helps in your decision! Good Luck!
