shorter style wedding dress!!

hi ladies,

 

what are your thoughts on shorter style wedding dresses? have you or do you know anyone that has been married in one? i am getting one made at the moment...(should be here soon) but am wondering if its the right dress now. it will be a vegas wedding anyway, so not totally conventional!

I think they look great! My friend in Sydney wore one, she has killer legs, and she looked fantastic!

I am wearing a short wedding dress...I went back & forth on it but ultimately, I wanted it casual & I don't want to be too hot so I got a nice short (right below my knees) flowy dress

i also have a short dress (for the reception part)....i really wanted a long dress for the ceremony but couldnt bear the thought of wearing it alllll night, so i got a short one too for the party!

I seriously considered it and think it would actually be much more comfortable. However, I ended up going with a very simple long dress. Still, I think they have so many beautiful short dresses that would look great for a destination wedding!

I am planning on getting a short dress for the reception as well. Ive always imagined myself getting married in a long dress, but I know how hot its gonna be in DR for our wedding so I will just wear my dress for the ceremony and pictures after that Im changing for our dinner and reception on the beach to a short dress.

I think it's a great idea! Melissa Sweet's Mari was my orignial 'dream' dress. I ended up getting something different, but I have a special place in my heart for that dress!

skadow, I love that dress, it was my mom and FI's favorite dress, I opted for a different look (shorter in front, full length in back, also from David's) but keep thinking about your dress. I may have to go back and get it.

What's your style? I think it all depends on you. I've seen some beautiful short dresses, but in the end, it's what you feel fabulous in, right?
