thanks ladies! great to share this with you, my friends think i'm insane for spending mone on this "torture", but i know it'll be worth it! no more (also painful) waxing!

i'm not sure what brand this cream is as its covered by the pharmacy tag but says 4% lidocaine, they told me approx 30 minutes before the treatment, maybe i'll try the 40-50 mins next time so it has more time to "sink it".

if i survive the next appt., i'm going to go for underarms in the same appt!

i'll let you know how it goes!!! LOL and I'll be thinking of that 40-Year Old Virgin scene!

I forgot to add that I wear my Saran Wrap panty to the office, and literally go to restroom and wipe it off minutes before my laser treatment. I'm not sure how long exactly that topical local anesthetic lasts, so I don't take any chanceswink.gif

4% Lidocaine should be fine also. I put on a thin layer over the area being treated so that it's not caked on, but that it's well covered. It technically is possible to overdose on Lidocaine, but it would take a lot of 4% cream to do it. Just don't use the whole tube. Ha!

Wow I would never have done that ! I must say that I had to put cream all over given that I was doing everything at the same time - meaning I was using 10 tubes for each treatment (I don't know in the USA - in france tubes are really small). Anyway it was putting me groggy every time - one time they had some delays and my lips got blue from it - they actually had to remove it from me because I could barely walk or move any more !!!

Anyway - I guess for just the bikini and the armpits this should not happen wink.gif

The guidelines we had was - 90 min before treatment.

Thanks in advance :)
My treatments were $175 for bikini area and underarms each visit. A little steep, but well worth the money! I think I paid $350 each visit for full leg lasering. These prices are for each session. I had a friend who ended up going to another medical spa in town and spent $650 for a bikini area/armpit combo, and that price was on sale that covered 5 treatments each. Shop around to different medical spas and aesthetics places to see what types of specials they're running. Good luck!

I paid $450 CND for a package of 4 (french) bikini treatments so far. the laser hair clinic i go gives 25% off when you purchase 4 treatments at once, which is like getting 1 free, otherwise its $150 each session. i'm doing underarms next and that will be $225 for 4 or $75 each. Can mix and match if need more treatments to get desired results.

these clinics are getting quite competitive in town here but i don't know if you'd be interested in driving across the border into Vancouver every month to get it done though (noticed you live in Marysville, WA).

find a place you like a check it out by getting a consultation & patch test, they should be free.

Thanks Rosieposie! Actually, my parents live up in Blaine, so I could always go stay with them and make a day trip out of it. I may make an appointment for a consultation near my house, though...I'll have to see how much they charge.

Thanks for all the info ladies!

question ladies, when you do the bikini area, are you doing the whole thing like a brazilian or just around your legs?

also I've heard it doesn't work as well on darker skin tones, doesn anyone have any experience with this? I am colombian and have kind of an olive skin tone.

thanks ladies!!
