Another idea could be to get action figures & put a veil on the girl. Like 2 transformers on the pie & one has a veil.
Years ago (so they may not still carry them) I bought a cake topper at dollar tree with 2 bears on a motorcycle. It was a gag gift, because I was buying the bride's cake topper for her birthday. I told her they didn't have hers in stock so I got this one instead. She was so upset, but trying not to show it. Then I pulled out the real one. What was so funny, was that her FI preferred the bears. She put it on his cake

You can get a custom bobblehead made for about $100. I've seen some people use that for a topper.

We're getting married in Jamaica, and we're having Choc and Vanilla layers, with Rum Cream in the middle and buttercream - yum! Anyone get a cake without fondant? We didn't want anything fancy, but I don't think I've seen a lot of pictures with just buttercream...
