Take your own canopy or chuppa?

I just found out from our wedding coordinator that the hotel charges $850 for a wooden canopy -- and that's without the decoration.

That's too pricey for me.

 

Has anyone seen any portable canopies or chuppas that people can bring with them? I have a lot of luggage space so that's not an issue.

I know the local Michael's has some that are pretty portable. I'm not sure how sturdy they would be.

 

You may want to check that your resort will allow you to bring your own. I knows ours won't.

I was thinking about trying to make our own chuppah to bring with us.

 

Brandi, did the resort say why they wouldn't let you bring one? That's so weird.
