Hello there! I am recently engaged and my fiance and I are interested in planning a wedding in Akumal. We want something simple (about 20-30 guests) and beautiful! There are a number of different sites we are considering. If anyone has some suggestions, please feel free to add a thread. At this point anything would be helpful!

Hi there! Akumel is beautiful! I would suggest a beachside villa. There are tons just below Bahia Principe on that beach there. Nice choice!

Welcome! You will find a lot of great info on this site but I would start by searching the reviews from hotels in Akumel. The website has helped me so much I think I would be lost without it. Good luck!

Welcome and Congrats! This site is super helpful- once you get a hang of navigating thru the threads. I stayed in Akumal my first time to Mexico- Akumal Beach Resort (that was actually my first vaca with my fiance). it was a great time, we were there in december. The resort itself is small, and simple, very clean, and the staff was great. i would say its about a 3 star resort. the beach was the BEST- great snorkeling and scuba right off the result itself. I hear the Akumal area in general has the best beaches in all of Riviera Maya. Happy Planning!!
