Wedding Colors--What Goes With Purple?

Hi all, I'm trying to pick wedding colors. I know I want a deep purple color as the main one (matches my engagement ring!), but I'm not sure what else. I'd like them to feel a bit tropical together, but our wedding won't be on the beach, so it doesn't need to be super beachy.

 

I've seen a lot of lime green. I think they look good together, but I'm not really a lime green person. What other colors do you think would work? Magenta? Some kind of blue?

 

Any ideas will help!

Yes, grey or silver would look really pretty, gold, teal, orange, yellow....you have so many choices

The colors at my wedding were purple, orange and lime green.

 

If you're not into lime green, other colors that would work well :

bright pink

turquoise blue

OMG you can pretty much do anything with purple. I personally like silver/gray but if you want to go brighter green or orange. anything. I like theknot.com, it may help you look at pics

I like orange with purple. But I like alot of colors and I LOVE orange.

My wedding is purple...well its more of plum. Plum, peony pink, silver and ivory. I am having accents of bright green like mums and such in the centerpieces. I'm not a huge fan of green but I really like how bright green goes with the whole scheme. You can also look into purple and gold, or believe it or not I saw a wedding on the knot with purple and chocolate brown and it looked nice. The possibilities are endless.
