Another Poll!!! Please help me decide :)

My travel agent has gotten back to me with options for our honeymoon that are within our budget. Our wedding is taking place the week of Oct 6-13 at Dreams cancun & then we are off to spend some one on one time with each other!!

 

Problem is....I just can't decide. I'd like a place that has some form of nightly entertainment. Any help from anyone who has been to any of these resorts would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks BDWers!!!

The choices are El Dorado Royale, Azul Beach Riviera Maya, Secrets maroma, Royal Playa del carmen, Bahia Principe Tulum & Dreams Peurtos Aventuras...

 

The flights in & out of cancun are already booked so we were looking for something fairly close to Cancun

Hmmm I do not know much about these resorts at all! I wish I could be of some help. Ill try to do some research for ya!

Actually I have heard some great things about Secrets! That is my vote!

Okay, to help put things into perspective: Dreams and Secrets are in the same chain. Secrets is the higher-end, adults only one.

 

Gran Bahia Principe Tulum is where we're getting married, and it's nice but it's not super one-on-one romantical, imho.

 

I don't have first hand experience with the others, but I can say with confidence that Secrets would be a great choice.

I so wanted to stay at Secrets Maroma Beach for our weddingmoon, but for an oceanfront room it was just too much money for us. We are staying at the Royal Cancun. Good Luck to you.

We've decided on the Bahia Principe Tulum. Secrets is nice but my TA said it is pretty quiet, which isn't what we're looking for. Here we'll still get some one on one time, but have some fun doing other stuff as well...ziplining, snorkeling, seeing the ruins, etc....We're happy & excited with the decision + a bonus it was the least expensive out of them all!!!!

Ive heard great things about secrets maroma and the beach is suppose to be amazing (actually before swine flu ruined our mex wedding plans last year thats where my husband and I were going to HM)

 

Azul beach is great but they allow kids so it may not be the best place for your HM, but it is a really nice hotel - ive stayed there 2x
