Hey I am Laura from Birmingham AL. I just got engaged to Korey Gaskin on Valentine's and am looking to do a destination wedding next May of 2011 either in Bahama's (my fiance really wants it here and he wants a bonfire on the beach so if anyone has any info that would be great!) or in Mexico (Cozumel?). We just want it to be affordable for friends and family but also at a nice place. This is such a great forum and I am looking forward to reading everything!!!!

Congrats and welcome! There are bonfire on the beach options on Grand Bahama Island. This was an option presented to us by our Wedding Coordinator for our wedding rehearsal... have not heard of this at a wedding reception, but I don't see why not.
