Punta Cana 2011 Bride--Confused!!

I just got engaged less than 2 weeks ago and I am soo super confused!

 

I managed to get my list down to the Dreams Punta Cana, Paradisus (but just found out that the Gazebo will not fit my 100 guests to sit), and the Riu Palace Punta Cana.

 

I really just chose these becuase there is a lot of info on them. My requirements are really just to have an off-the-beach ceremony (Catholic) with a sit down provate recepetion and open bar...Doesn't seem to difficult, right??

 

I am finding that the EXTRAS are really confusing and are adding up fast!

 

I will take ALL suggestions!! =)

I am also planning on going to Punta Cana in 2011. From what I have seen, I really like the Paradisus, but I have heard that Dreams is really nice too. Those are the two places we are deciding between right now. I know what you mean by the extras adding up. I like how the hotels are all-inclusive but if you want to have a private bar at your wedding you have to pay per person! I am thinking my guests will just have to walk to the hotel bar, really, I am doing them a favour, I am helping them burn off some of the calories that they are drinking...hahaha

I am planning to marry in Punta Cana in April 2011 as well. I have stayed at the Melia Caribe and saw some weddings there that were beautiful so that is on my list of possibilities. I also am highly considering the Bahia Principe chains.. I am really just starting to dig in and it is becoming overwhelming fast lol. Any punta cana suggestions would be helpful or hearing from those married there before, thanks so much!

Congrats and welcome! Have you considered Costa Rica or even Mexico? I think communication could possibly be better and you could even get married in the church if you wanted. Happy Planning!

BTW, in CR and MX you could get an outside wedding planner which would be very helpful with that many guests.
