As for the tipping, I am going to tip at the end. It would be very disappointing tipping a 100.00 first thinking that it is going to get you extra stuff and that doesn't happen.

I would rather tip at the end based on how much attention they spent on my wedding.

What is everyone going to tip the servers at the reception? I think they have quite a few catering to all of your needs just curious.

As for the tanning, I think I am going to do three high pressured tans and then one versa spray before I go. Our wedding is 3 days after we get there and those first three days, I am going to avoid the water above the waist. My dress is long so even if it comes off on my legs a bit, nobody will know.

Also I was told at one dress shop that white dress can make a tan seem more orange because of the contrast.

Well I said on friday that I was going to take a weekend off of wedding stuff, So on saturday we went to a festival then went to lady GAGA on saturday night! She was amazing. Sunday I was feeling overwhelmed like we still had lots to do, I literally have two weekends off before we leave! So we spent the whole day yesterday doing wedding things.

We got mine and fiancee's rehersal dinner clothes. Love them I am posting a pic of my dress I bought. Then we did our placecards, maraca tags, chapsticks, ordered mother and father gifts. List is almost done!

I never thought about that, I was going to carry mine on but completely forgot about the pins. We are flying out next week to boston for a week. i am going to ask when I am there and then I will let you know.

I want to carry mine on and I have my BM her's to carry on with her and she brought up a good point....the bouquets have straight pins in them for the ribbon so not sure how that will go over. Do any of you have a similar problem?

Okay, so this might be another silly question....BUT is any one else going a little shopping crazy on clothes, shoes, hats, etc for the DW? Before, i was being so conservative with shopping for clothes saying that realistically I really just need casual clothes. Now, all bets are off! I have sundresses, sandals, beach purse,swimsuits, etc! LOL

i was wondering the same thing, i want to carry it on too, but worried about those pins. then thought of checking it but it came in this large box that takes up so much room....but my girlfriend flew it back by carry-on from Ontario for me.....hmmm, i think i'll call/email the airline and ask but if any of you ladies find out before, please let us know =)

same, i would be disappointed if i went ahead with tipped $100 thinking we were going to get "special treatment" and it didn't happen - or worse, bad service. but i do see the point about tipping first where there's a chance the staff would be more willing to go the extra mile for you that day, especially if there are other weddings happening at the same time.....ergh.

looks like everyone's really on the ball here, last week was a bit of a write-off for me between working, working out and recovering from the bachlorette party.

so here i am on the planning front:

- i took BD photos on saturday and it was so much fun! but it also made me realize how pale i actually look, and i have been contemplating on hitting some tanning to get a base in case i burn. i've tried those spray tans but i think it just brings out my yellow undertones =S

- the pashminas i ordered mid-february from ebay did not arrive, they said they would send again but can't guarantee they'll be here in time, not an extremely big deal - but annoying.

- need to finalize the menu with the restaurant for AHR this weekend

- decided on wedding bands

- finished our wedding dance

- went to 2nd fitting, 3rd and final on Friday

- working on printing out menus

- working on shower gifts

- need to paint 'shoes optional' sign

there's probably more stuff and i'm starting to feel forgetful (bad time) but here comes my boss so it's back to work for me!
