Weird If I Walk Myself Down the Aisle?

Neither of our parents want to go to our Mexico wedding - we are having a large banquet 2 weeks beforehand in-town (which our parents want & insisted ... so we are...) and they feel that that is already our wedding, so they don't want to go to Mexico to the DW we want. I was thinking my younger brother but he's a student with student loans.

 

It would be nice to have them all there, but our parents english is limited and don't like the heat, we would hate for them not to have a good time or have our friends try to entertain them.

 

SO, would it be weird if I walked myself down the aisle, or should I ask one of my guy friends to do it ... or stretch my budget (already looking a bit stretched) and pay for my brother to come along?

As far as I know my parents are coming and I inted to walk myself down the aisle. I am in my mid 30's and don't feel that anyone is "giving me away" but me. I think it is fine to walk yourself. (I will admit to a moment of panic earlier this week at the thought of being that nervous by my self!)

Definitely not weird. I walked myself down the aisle & it went fine. Do what you want to do & what makes you comfortable.

I was planning this too as no father and my cousin whos like a brother may still be serving in Afganistan.. then someone said its useful to have someone else incase ur nervous and get a bit nervous/wobbly walking down?!

 

So now im not sure...

i, too, will be walking myself down the aisle. that's one of the joys of a non-traditional wedding/beach wedding - you get to do whatever you want to do! tradition and rules are thrown out the window! good luck!
