The night before.....???

Recommended Posts

I am going to sleep in my sister's room the evening before my wedding.  We have been living together for over a year so we are not really following any sort of tradition as it stands now but I want the excitement of seeing him for the first time that day while I am walking down the aisle.  I think that after our welcome dinner the evening before we will say our goodbye's and won't see each other until the ceremony.

not sure what we are going to do.  We'd both like to go the traditional route, but I know me and I know that I will be super anxious and nervous. He is so good at calming my nerves and I can't imagine not seeing him all day with the build up leading up to our wedding.  I guess we will figure things out when it gets closer to the day!

Do you need to ask for a room or do they just give you one? I'm fine with sharing room night before but want to be apart all day until the ceremony! It's a big resort so I'm sure we will be fine with not seeing each other before we go to the spa for hair/makeup!

Many resorts offer a room for the groom.  We live together but I don't want him to see me until I walk down the isle.  Can't believe I want to do that as I normally don't do traditional. :)

I'm definitely sleeping in the same room with my fiance, and going for breakfast/beach with him in the morning. My ceremonies not until 4 and I'm not wasting an entire day holed up in my room! I'm slightly traditional in the way that I don't want him to see me all done up and in my dress before the wedding, so once the salon appointments roll around we'll go our separate ways for the afternoon :)

This is what we are planning too... I want to spend as much time as possible with him and my kids... Right now we are considering having the kids stay with my parents the entire week- but i think we will change this to just the night before and the night of the wedding... Other than that they will be with us (at least the younger 2)... For us, the whole point of a dW is to spend as much time with our loved ones (and each other) and it not just be about a few hours at a ceremony and reception... So throwing tradition a little out the window!
