I sent Pilar an email yesterday and asked her how much the buffet is per person, so I will let you know when I hear from her. I am getting married Dec 1st and will be bringing down somethings as well - my colours are very different from your though (fushcia, coral and apple green).

I feel like I am not sure where to begin. Money is an issue and we are on a budget. We also face the reality of both of us being young with no living parents to go to for advice and suggestions.

We didn't hire a DJ. Used our own ipod instead and had made playlists beforehand. The price for the sound system (speakers etc.) for the night is $150. We ended up getting ours for free though (thanks to Ana).

 

Since we were on a budget as well we did not buy or bring any decorations. I told Ana to set it up nicely to whatever decorations they would let us have for free. It was very pretty! Simple but pretty! She had vases filled with sand and shells with a candle inside, shells and starfish spread out on the table, white table cloths and napkins etc. She moved the chair bows to our reception which added some color and had even made a beautiful menu card in our colors and our names on it. I was very happy with it all. Then again, I was a pretty laid back bride, didn't feel like the decorations were the important part of our wedding.

How did everyone get their wedding decor to Mexico???  

 

I was thinking about packing it in one big box, checking it as luggage, and hoping nothing breaks!

I havent had my wedding yet, but I was just at the UPS store and they sell cardboard suitcases for travel. They were only 10 bucks. I figured you can throw it away and not worry about bringing it back.

Just curious on everyones reception, my dinner is @ 7 and the divine package only incl dinner and dancing until 10pm, did any of you or are any of you paying more for extra hours or did you find 10 was a good time?

Hey girls! I'm getting married at Jade on November 4 and I'm using teal/aqua too! Little bit of a peacock theme, but nothing too crazy.

 

Question - is anyone planning to decorate w/ a version of white Christmas lights? We're having our dinner on the festival terrace and really want to use white lights, but I've not read that anyone mentioned it.

 

Anyone know?
