Hi ladies in renewing my vows at the tequila in July 2013, stayed there in 2010 and loved the place, wedding coordinator had been in touch and sent with it the price list for the hotel photographer. Have any of u either used them Or maybe an outside photographer??? Just seems very pricey, starting at almost £500 for an hour and almost £2000 if u want the day photographed and a video!!! HELP... I thought that the almost 8 grand it's cost me would be my wedding included, hadn't budgeted for 2 grand in pictures!!! It's 20 years in jan since I married and ive waited a long time to do it properly xxx

Hi ladies I find the photographer very expensive too but i do want nice pics. For now I'm sticking with the hotel one but I'm still keeping my eyes open. I choose the tequila as this resort seems to have most facilities for all ages. The palace seems nice but posh at the same time. Have you been in contact with the wedding coordinator annette ?

Hi Hun, yes I have been in touch with the coordinator but only to change my time from 2pm to 5pm, which they did straight away, had an email back within 24 hours confirming the time change so I was quite impressed with that, we had some pictures taken whilst at the tequila in 2010 which if u compare them to the prices quoted by the hotel they hike the prices up loads as soon as they see wedding!!! We got ours done and had a story book and 90 pictures for $300 (about £160) I'm trying to find the photographers name to contact her as she worked within the hotel but I don't think she was part of the hotel staff!!! If I can find her details ill let u know, we had some take. At the palace and to be honest I found it quite stuffy and no better than the tequila but U had to dress for dinner!!! I cannot fault the tequila at all and found the place fantastic, I've scoured the net looking for photographers in Mexico but the prices are extortionate even more expansive than the photographers in England!!! Hopefully ill find the details from the Italian girl who took ours, add me on fb!! Annette Joanne hunter xxx

Hi stephanievdmeer - thx for your interest + question .....no, we haven't shot a wedding at the RUI Tequila, as it hasn't been popular with our wedding couples. It's not on the beach and so the location is not one our couples have chosen.

However, right across the street from it,  is the RUI Palace - which is on the beach, and a really gorgeous wedding location! here are some pics to show you what I'm talking about - with a link to the full album here......RUI Palace
