Ok, so it's not huge and grand like some of the ones out there, but I loved how it was a bit dainty and pretty. The blue will show up much better on the white walk way that this is going on. In this pic, it's laying on my dark hardwood, so it doesn't show up too much. What do you guys think??

It was SUPER simple. I went to WalMart and bought the aisle runner, some acrylic paint, and a couple brushes. I went on MS Word and blew up the letters and numbers to a size that pretty much fit the runner. I messed with that a bit until I got the size I wanted. Then I just slid them underneath, with wax paper in between the aisle runner and the paper (some runners are a bit too thick, but mine was just perfect), so that the paper didn't stick to the aisle runner. Then I just painted away!

I kinda just winged it....I'm not so good at describing what I did, so I hope that helps.

thanks so much for the explanation!! a couple other (dumb) questions..not very artistic, but I think I can handle this with some direction lol. How long and wide is the runner? Is there just a standard size or did you have to ask the place you're getting married the measurements of the aisle? Also, where did you paint this? In the middle of the runner, or at the end like where the bride would enter from? Thanks so much for the help...you did such a great job!!
