Newbie with 19 days until Iberostar Lindo wedding-having trouble navigating the site!

Hi All,

Just found your website and am a little overwhelmed by the number of posts. And as you can see by my info, I don't have enough time to read them all (as much as I would love to.) We started out planning our wedding with the idea that we were having a casual beach wedding. Compared to most, we are still doing it very casual, but my relaxed approach has now turned into anxiety. I can't seem to find any pictures of the steakhouse or seafood restaurants and am totally second guessing the on-site photographer. Also, as of today I am a little worried about the proper paperwork required for the civil ceremony. My WC send me an email with the paperwork needed, but no where does it say anything about having our birth certificates translated. I also can't figure out how we legalize everything back in the states, do I need to file it with our town clerk or is it just legal?

Sorry for total "crazy bride" first post.

Iberostar Lindo

Riviera Maya, Mexico

Oh, if there are any other brides at the resort between 4/20 and 4/27, please reply-we can maybe help one another navigate the process once we are there.

Yikes!! Take a deep breath... I do not know the requirements for Mexico but for other Spanish speaking contries like Dominican Rep. you do need to translate the birth certificate and also have it notarized.

Why don't you check with WEDO.com or even the Mexico forum on this site to see if you can get some additional information regarding this. Good luck!

Welcome! You're in the home stretch!

The forum probably has all of that info somewhere. My best advice is to make friends with the search function. I find that the advanced search option yields the best results.

Also, all of the moderators have a FAQ link in their signatures with lots of helpful hints.

Good Luck!

Congratulations to you! Woohoo-you are almost there-so exciting! Welcome to this helpful forum. I don't know about the civil ceremony as we are just doing a symbolic ceremony (getting married legally in the US a few days before). The search function is wonderful here! Good Luck to you and have fun with the rest of your planning and your wedding! :)
