Sandals Negril or Couples Tower Isle?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! My fiance and I are planning a Jamaica wedding for sometime between December 2010 - February 2011. We expect to have about 30 guests. We are trying to narrow down resorts and any help/advice would be appreciated.

I heard that there are weddings every 15 minutes at Sandals and that the ceremony can be rushed and cookie cutter. This is NOT what we want. I do think the Sandals Negril resort looks very beautiful from the photos though.

I also have been checking out Couples Tower Isle. It looks smaller but the idea of getting married on a private island appeals to me. It also seems that the Couples resorts include more in their wedding packages.

Also any opinions about other Couples resort locations would be welcomed!

Thanks!

Welcome, I am getting married at Couples Sans Souci, if you do a search there is a some information on the this forum but not alot. Have you checked out the couples message board, I did get alot of information from there, also Debbie the states side coordinator answers all questions even the silly ones lol.

Couples Sans Souci, only has 150 suites, but the grounds are stunning!

We are also getting married at Couples San Souci, then transferring to Couples Tower Isle for our honeymoon. The message board on the Couples website is very useful, as stated before.

I believe there is the extra charge to get married on the private island, around $4000....depends on what your budget is, but that was too much for us.

Sandals was way too expensive for us, the basic wedding is inclusive if you stay 7 nights in a concierage level room ( the pricy ones). The Couples basic wedding package is free if you stay 3 nights in any one, which allowed us to do the honeymoon switch. Good luck on your decisions!

We'll be at Tower Isle from 12/3 to 12/6 :)

Just putting my 2 cents in.. I've never been to a Sandals resort, however my fiance and I went to San Souci last May and it was absolutely stunning!! There are no other words! We ran into several couples at the resort saying they would never go to another Sandals resort again after going to the Couples resorts!

But I was having the same trouble deciding where to have the wedding when I came across Iberostar Grand Rose Hall! They only have 1 wedding a day there.. as well as the other Iberostar resorts which are right next door I believe. As soon as we saw that we fell in love with everything else!

Congrats ladies!! and good luck preparing for your DW's :)

I have never been to a Sandals resort, but I just returned from CTI in December 2010 and I have to say that the wedding planner, LaToya was doing a great job getting the brides/wedding parties in order. I visited the resort bc my sis was having a non-traditional ceremony there and have since decided that my FH and I will be doing a traditional ceremony there in Nov 2011.  I think that the resort is a nice size and it the atmosphere is very intimate.  As said in previous post, contact Debbie with any questions, she will answer them all.
