June 2011 Brides!

Recommended Posts

Yes I did put fave song on the RSVP card, I thought it was a great idea ,but it has proven to be a waste of time since I only got 2 back. Oh well. I also plan on playing my sister's first dance song since my wedding day will be a few weeks before her anniversary. Im going to make them dance for that one.

I also just recently bought an Ipod for the ceremony. I love it! Ive never had one before, ive only ever had just mp3 players.

Hi Girls!!  I just wanted to check in since we are a little more than a month away!!!  What does everyone still have to do?

For me, it's:

  • engrave the rings
  • decide on BM and MoB/MoG gifts
  • Finalize contents of OOT bags (might have to do this when we arrive because we have 130 guests)
  • Confirm final flowers
  • Decide play list for the DJ
  • Confirm pic list with photographer
  • Buy dresses for rehearsal dinner and possibly a short white reception dress (my dress came in and I was sweating in the shop just trying it on!  It looks light and airy, but the corset makes it HOT...)
  • Decide on shoes.  Having such a hard time finding ones that I love!!
  • Buy bracelet to complete bridal jewelry
  • Gift for DH??

I'm sure there's more...  How about you?

What are you guys doing for BM gifts? I was pretty set on taking them para-gliding once we got there...do you think that is good??? Any ideas or is that good enough? Neither of them need anything and they will have lots of goodies from their OOT bags...

I think it's a good idea- we are doing a similar thing- taking our wedding party on a tour of ruins and cenotes. We are also paying for their spouses to come too otherwise they probably wouldn't have wanted to come!! I couldn't think of anything to buy them, though I think I shoudl think of something small to give to them. I also paid for their bridesmaid dresses wacko.gif

I'm doing the same. I'm taking my girls and my mom on a kayak/snorkel tour. I also bought their dresses, shoes, and jewelry. None of them were thrilled with the idea of hair and make-up which is quite expensive, and I really wanted something more memorable anyway. All of our guests have the option to go on the tour for a discounted price, but I will be paying for the girls. And FI is doing something similar and paying for deep sea fishing for his groomsmen and the dads.

If you need a contact in Cabo for group tours, Stacey at Cabo Outfitters has been GREAT to work with! Her company does nearly everything, hiking, kayaking, scuba, ziplining, ATV, etc. and she had excellent group rates. Her contact info is: [email protected]

We are getting so close girls! My wedding day is 1 month from tomorrow! [heart racing in background] smile123.gif

Hi Donie,

I'm also on AA and I called them in regards to your dress they told me my particular jet is able to accomodate me using the 1st class closet but it all really depends on how nice the flight attendants are. Let me know if you find anything else out in regards to this my dress is huge and I am not about to check it in with the rest of my luggage.
