Guest book and a DW

So when is the best time for the guest book to be out??

 

Our DW timeline of events is pretty tight and I'm wondering when everyone else is putting theirs out?? And how do you make sure you have it back at the end of the night??

I'm doing a postcard guestbook, and I'm putting it out during the cocktail hour where we will have champagne and cigars...as for getting it back.... I just thought I would have a table where we could set it up. I'm sure my crazy FMIL will guard like a hawk

I'm going the postcard guestbook route also. I ordered them from Vista Print and plan to have them on a table that will be visible as guests enter the reception area. Guests can write them out during the reception. I'd do it the same way if I was doing a regular guestbook and just leave it out.

 

Were you planning to have guests pass it around instead?

We're not really sure... we're thinking that we'll give FMIL the guest book and leave it in her hands at the end of the night. As for where it starts, that's up for debate still....

good question, i was wondering the same. i'm thinking of putting it out during the dinner.

We used a picture mat set up on a table during cocktails and dinner. Our WC arranged to have all of our personal stuff (like the mat) packed up and we then picked up our stuff from her office the next day. Here's a pic of our mat:

That mat is a super cool idea! We have 43 people coming or that would definitely be something we'd do too.

We're doing a Photo Frame Mat as our guest book...it will be out during our reception! I've got different coloured pens and will need to print a 8 by 10 picture to go in it. I like this idea because I will only need to pack the mat and then after the wedding we can put a wedding photo in it.

we are doing a whiteboard and photo guestbook so I am going to have one of my BM go around during cocktail party and have guests pose for a picture and write a message in 5 words or less to the bride and groom. I plan on putting together a book when I get home

This is what we plan to do at my shower and AHR. I found some UT Vols whiteboards-our colors are orange and white.
