Has anyone gotten married at the catholic church of Punta cana in bavaro?

Looking for a catholic church for our destination wedding. The pictures of this are beautiful. Im concerned though leaving the resort for the church.

Hi Christy, we are having a catholic ceremony at the resort. I was also concern about having to hire transportation from the resort to the church, so we decided to have the catholic ceremony at the wedding gazebo, at our resort.

Did you have to get a dispensation? Normally you can't do Catholic ceremonies anywhere but inside a church.

We had to do a some paperwork to get have a catholic ceremony. But it is the same paperwork that you will get if you got marry at the actual church. In DR you can get marry outside the church depending on the resort. Never on the beach, just check with your resort. Actually our WC send us all of the paper work for the church.

Have you been able to find a catholic church to have the ceremony or have you also decided to have it at a Gazebo at the resort?

I know that punta cana has a church near the airport, is called Puntacana church and the priest Jean La Caille, the only who works in this area know it.

There is another church that I'm aware of called The Church of St. Stanislaus, it is located in Altos de Chavon. It is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! google it and you'll see pics.
