FI's Gift

If I was having a "normal" wedding I would want to get my FI a gift but now that we are going away we haven't really talked about this much but knowing him he won't even think about it, ha! Any ideas out there for what to get FI as a wedding gift. I bought him a really nice watch a few years ago when he got promoted but typically we buy what we want so I am having a hard time thinking of something.

We chose to forgo the bride/groom gifts. All we wanted was to be married on a tropical island and didn't feel the need for anything else. It's really tough too when you're marrying someone who has everything! Sorry I couldn't give you any examples, but I just wanted to share the thought that you don't have to buy each other gifts as you are already each other's gifts. Too mushy??

I'm also having a difficult time thinking of what to get him as well. I also want to forego the gift but I feel bad!

i did a BD book and got him a personalized hankerchief since i knew he might be sweating on the beach lol he doesnt know about either. he said since im picky he will get me a spa day for on our honeymoon

I made FI a BD book as well and told him he doesn't have to get me anything. I know he'll love it and it was an opportunity for me to have a blast doing a sexy photoshoot

Thanks Everyone! My guess is he will love if I say, lets not do gifts to each other. I think that we are having this great vacation/wedding that might be enough. I'll check out the other thread too.

I don't think you have to do anything. I am doing a BD book just because it will be totally unexpected and he will love it! I'd be shocked if he is getting me a gift.

I'm in the same boat since my man has expensive taste in items (watches, etc..). Maybe you could do a couples massage or have a romantic intimate dinner after the wedding. Really at the end of the day your spending each others money since now you are married! Just IMO... maybe I'm cheap :-)

Ha, you look at it like me Cristi! I really wanted to get him a grill but he is on this don't spend money until after the wedding kick but really I can't wait until after because I can get my dining room floors, ha! Maybe I'm too practical.
