BDW Biggest Loser ~ Season 9!

I find that I often have too many "special occasions". There is this person's birthday, then that person's birthday... then I haven't seen that friend in months, so we need to go out for drinks! Then we have a lunch at work, and so on and so forth...

I'm a very social person so it is difficult for me to separate eating and drinking from good times with friends and family. Right now I have NO lunches planned with anyone for the next few weeks, and any other outings I plan to stick to my healthy eating. My friends will understand -- it's just a challenge for me.

good morning girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad to be back from my trip! it was a very bad weekend (regarding what I ate) as we had friends visiting NYC and we ate all the classic bad items from nyc (pizza, hot dogs, burgers, you name it!). Now I'm back home finally and everyone is gone! time to focus on my diet!!!!

How's everyone else doinghuh.gif??

this is so true, and i struggle with this as well. but i always try to reiterate this to myself:

if you are baking, and you drop an egg on the ground - do you throw the rest of the dozen on the ground as well? NO! you clean up the egg and carry on.

that is the same thing as having that first donut. no need to finish the dozen when you can just put it away and move on.

This is such a great analogy! So true!!!

A few years ago, I had my A-HA moment. I had been trying to please others around me, particularly a guy I was dating, by going out a lot and doing fun things. Most fun things ended up revolving around eating. After we broke up, I realized I had been doing so much to please him that I had not focused on how miserable I was with my body. I was so afraid of being rejected if I asked to sit at home instead of going out, and I ended up gaining a ton of weight! When I finally realized that I needed to focus on myself, I joined Weight Watchers and started working out, and I lost about 55 pounds. I've been going up and down 10-15 pounds for the last three years or so, so now it is time to get that last bit off.

Mmmmm...Papa John's is the best! Good for your fiance for keeping it away though! Mine would just dangle it in front of my face, haha!
