What to do- friend can't afford to come

We fronted some friends and family money but made sure they could all pay us back before the wedding!

how good of a friend is she? I wouldnt pay for her but maybe even make an agreement to have her pay for half .

I am in the same boat. My best friend backed out the last minute saying that she doesnt have a sitter. But she seems to find one when she goes other places. I say go without her and enjoy your new husband. You'll make the right decision in the end.

How badly do you want her there? We are totally struggling, maxing out credit cards to pay for the wedding. But we offered to pay for my best friend when she said she couldn't afford it. It was so important to me to have her there I didn't care what it cost me. Ultimately she declined to let us pay but I would have done anything to have her there. So thats what you have to ask yourself.
