Photographer backed out!

I know. Thanks guys. The thing is she had been "writing up a contract" for a while and periodically emailed me telling me to tell me it was almost done. Then about a little over a week ago she told me that it was done and her lawyer was just looking over it then 3 days ago she backed out. So I never signed a contract. I could tell that she was disorganized just by how long it was taking her to draw up the contract. I hadn't paid a deposit yet and I was just days away from booking her trip to Cancun. I am thankful that she backed out sooner rather than later. I am just bummed that I have to start the search again.

 

I guess it was my fault trying to cut corners by hiring someone who was just beginning in destination weddings, so I could save some money. Although I would think she would be more organized because she was already an established local wedding photographer with a nice website and blog with her portfolio.

 

I have signed up for one of the photography contests on here so I am crossing my fingers. If that doesn't work out I will just go with the resort photographer.
