My travel mugs!

Hi all, I just wanted to show off my mugs- I love them! We got them from discountmugs and I'm pretty happy with the company. The mugs got here quickly, they're just what I ordered and the duty charges (I'm in Canada) weren't too bad. I shopped it around a bit and these mugs worked out to be cheaper than similar ones from 4imprint even including duty.

For some reason when I post this picture, though, it's squashing the pic and making the mug look shorter and wider than it is. Sorry about that- just keep in mind that they're actually taller and thinner lol.

 

I had them shipped to my FMIL to save a bit on shipping and she just sent me one so that I could see what they look like. She looked them all over and except for one mug that has a slightly loose catch and another with a slightly blurry logo they're all in perfect condition. The only issue that I had with them was that they told me the fuschia colour that I originally wanted for the logo wouldn't show up well against the black mugs. I went with a light pink instead but it looks a bit purple in some lights. No big deal to me, but if you're really fussy about your colours you may want to keep that in mind.

 

Oh, weirdly enough, they sent me 40 mugs but I ordered/ paid for only 30. I'm not sure why but I'm not going to worry about it- it's not like I can send them back anyway, they've been personalized. FMIL thinks that because one of the logos came out blurry they may have had to do an extra batch and then just sent them all to me. I'm not complaining!

So glad that you had success with discountmugs. They look great! I just ordered mine yesterday with my fingers croseed and hoping that it all works out!

 

Can I ask how much duty was? I'd like to get an idea of what to expect. Thanks!

No problem! For 30 mugs the duty was about $70. It's not super cheap, but the mugs were a lot cheaper than 4imprint (the Canadian company I looked into) so I still came out ahead.

You're lucky! I was sent a few LESS than what I ordered (from Discountmugs.com) and now am short And they wouldn't send me the amount I was short by, only a partial refund. The cost they quoted me to re-order for the few missing was ridiculous and just wasn't worth it.

I had a terrible experience with them, but I'm glad to hear that maybe they've smartened up and now over send rather than under.
