Walking down the aisle??

Recommended Posts

I think that will totally be cute but yes, you will be walking him rather than the other way around :) Will definitely be memorable for you and your children.

Best wishes for your father's speedy recovery.

Very Cute,

Have you asked your hubby what he thinks? Was just wondering if it ment anything that the inlaws suggestioned an alternative plan. Not that it matters what they think. Its your day! Do what you want.

Sorry to hear about your dad btw =( /hugs

First, My thoughts are with you and your dad. It would be a difficult situation at any time but when it coincides with your wedding it must be terrible.

Second, I think its a great idea to have your little guy walk with you down the aisle. Have you thought about your daughter and your son? Maybe they can hold hands and walk together in front of you...

Third, Do you mind if I jump in and ask a similar question? I was going to post a new thread but this seems like a good spot.

So, here is my "aisle walking" dilemna...

This is my second marriage. When I got married the first time I was young and I had my dad walk me down the aisle even though he and I are not close at all.(my parents were divorced when I was 8 years old). I wanted to have my mom and step dad walk me down the aisle but I felt guilty and all of my aunts (on my dads side) were telling him what a big deal it was etc... this time around I want to do what I want- not what other people think I should do.

So, the problem is that I really want my mom and step dad included in a special way but my FI and I have 3 kids between us. My original thought was to have my daughter and step daughter walk me down the aisle and my step son waiting at the front with my FI.

What are your thoughtshuh.gif??

The dilemma of walking down the aisle...Who knew this would be such a hard decision??

Anyway, I have decided to walk down with my son. He is too cute to pass up on this idea. He'll definitley steal the show lol

As for your dilemma, I would say you are soooo lucky to have a step-dad that has taken you in as his own and it would be such a nice gesture to him to suggest he walk with you :) Dad's are big mushies when it comes to their daughters & what a nice way to let him know how much he means to you. Of course, I think having your kids walk down with you is also a great idea, but maybe i'm biased wink.gif

You have to do what you think is right because it is after all your day!! If my dad could I would have him walk me down because i think it is such a special thing to share...so personally what I would do in your situation, is walk down with my stepdad & mom & have my kids in the wedding party so they are included too. That way everyone feels a part of your special day :)

Hope this helps & good luck with your choice!!
