We're having it at Secrets Maroma Beach in Mexico... it's a little more on the pricey side, but the beach looks so beautiful!

Have you just booked the wedding with the resort then?  Do you still need to do reservations for your stay and everything?  If so, I would highly recommend contacting TA Wendy since it's in Mexico!  Even though she's on the other side of the country then me (near San Francisco), I'm so happy we went with her! 

 

TA Wendy went to Mexico in the beginning of August on business, to check out resorts, and while she was there she went and took over 50 pictures of our resort and met with our WC while she was there.  Just a few weeks ago, maybe a month now, she mailed us all of the pictures that she took while she was there, which was nice because we are brining our photographer...so it allows our photographer to see what the atmosphere is there and was she'll be working with.

Not at all! If you book through a tour group (through a travel agent) I would definately recommend putting down deposits right away from the people you know are coming for sure or who you want to for sure be there (eg. immediate family and wedding party), even before you send out your invites if you have to.... And also try to hold onto as many extra seats for other people that may want to book later on.

We're getting married April 5th, 2011 and the tour group we booked through is already sold out and it's still 5 months away...luckily for us we had a lot of people book early, but everyone else who wants to come now unfortunately has to pay more. I doubt you'll have the same issues as us though! There's still tons of time:)

good morning ladies!!

guess what!?  FI and I finally got the cd for our engagement photos last night!!! we are sooo happy with them.  It was tough picking only a few of the 189 shots to upload to flickr, but here are some of my definite favourites

These turned out FANTASTIC Lua!  Love the shots in the cornfield and on the railroad tracks.

funny thing about the water -- that's Lake Ontario and it's usually not very blue near us... we lucked out big time with literally a picture perfect day!  and those chairs were just sitting there on the beach so we took full advantage and used them up!   i think it would be cute to re-create the pic of us on the chairs in jamaica on our wedding day.
