p.s. Welcome back Lisa! :)

AHR  update:

- i spray-painted all of the frames i bought and they're looking great

- made up a seating plan that of course MIL didn't agree with and she went and changed it all around leaving tables of 4/5/6/7 ... meanwhile i had all tables of 6 and only one of 7. thankfully I talked to hubby about it and he's going to tell his mom we're sticking to our seating plan or else there will be NO seating plan.  she kept moving things around keeping families all together. i was so frustrated thinking are hubbies aunts and uncles 10 and can't sit with some of my family??? grrrr MIL seems to think they all have to sit together.  Anyway.. that is that

- as for cupcakes, i was going to do all 80+ from scratch, BUT still have yet to find a recipe that is just what i want - ie. nice and light and fluffy and moist. SO.... I'm going to do the unspeakable.. make the cupcakes from boxed cake mix GASP!! But, then I still plan on frosting them with homemade buttercream frosting ;)

What's left to do:

- finish table number photos and get them  printed

- finalize seating plan and figure out how we're going to display it

- get a disposable camera for our AHR whiteboard guestbook station

- bake all the cupcakes and get them in the freezer so all i have to do next saturday am is thaw them and frost them

- get a playlist together for music that we're going to play in the background all night

- figure out and get vases/shells/flowers etc. for centerpieces

- edit the video from the wedding so we can play it

- find a PROJECTOR! ahhh...

so much to get done and only 9 days to go!

Laura, your MIL is the reason why I don't share my plans with our moms. No one is ever happy, and will want to change everything, so this way, I get what I want without the fight.

Are you doing full size cupcakes? I don't think it's bad to use cake mix, you could always add something to it for extra flavor.

For the projector, is there anyway your work might have one you could borrow?

I have to pick our enlargements today so that we can have them in time for our AHR. I hate having that pressure.

hubby's going to have to help with the playlist and video ... everything else pretty much me, myself and i... i honestly just want it to be over. i'm not even excited for it at all. :(  oh and we need to also get cheese and veggie platters together too lol (at least my mom is helping with that)

mocha - i wish we could keep everything from my in-laws, but they're the ones paying for the whole thing (because they're the ones that wanted it) so we feel kind of obliged??  i'm hating the whole situation though because i always loved my inlaws before and this crap is making me start to resent them :(

and yes, i'm going to do fullsize chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream - some in turquoise and some in white

my work does have a projector and i'm going to ask tomorrow if we can borrow it.  might be a long shot though but we'll see. (fingers crossed!)

Erin, I'm sorry you've been sick!  I also have been a complete slacker and PROMISE to get those "l-o-v-e" plates weighed and pm you before this weekend.  Thanks for your patience:)  I've been enjoying not doing anything wedding related....apparently a little too much;)

I've been thinking of PMing you but have decided I'd wait....  let me know how much so we can take care of that, otherwise I'm going to have to find them online somewhere....

Laura, you just stressed me out here a little bit!!  I have a lot to do myself, but thankfully it's not 9 days away!!!  We did however get most of our candy over the weekend and got our chinese food containers for the bandy buffet!  I have a few big projects to do...  like, figure out the food, create the slideshow we are going to have continuously running at the AHR, and figuring out exactly what we are going to do for centerpieces!!!

Lisa - I'm so glad Greece was amazing!!!  I have sent you a PM with my name so you can friend request me on FB.  I can't wait to see pictures!!

Is your marriage certificate in English? I went the other day to change my name and the lady asked for a translation. I was so tired that I just walked out and never asked what an acceptable translation would be. I might just lie and go back and ask for a common law name change.

yes ours is in english --- one of the big reasons we chose Jamaica because we wouldn't have to worry about translating.  you're going to have to get yours translated into english unfortunately (i assume it's in spanish?)
