Happy to hear about your shower! I also got the treat bags from michael's and will staple folded card stock over the top of them. We had a pretty productive wedding weekend!! Took care of two craft projects today - our place mats and our photo prop signs. I'm pretty happy with the way both turned out!! Also had a good shopping haul yesterday. Found soft lips lip balm with SPF 20 in it at the buck store 2 packs for two bucks!! We also found big enough pool floaties there for $1.50! Went across town to another Walmart to look for aloe, but still no luck. All I need for the Oot bags now are aloe, Tylenol packets, pepto and if I can find them, Gatorade powder packets. Does anyone know if we even have Gatorade powered packets here in Canada??

So I think I've FINALLY finished our guestbook.  FI still wants to Photoshop some of the photos and replace them, but I don't think he understands the time crunch we're on here...if I do the slow shipping we're talking about the end of the month, and if the book has any issues...ahhhh...I don't want to think about it.  Anyway, if anyone would like to take a look at it, PM your email address and I'll send you the link.  I'm hoping for some feedback on the style I've gone with.  We're not having very many guests, so I had a lot of pages to fill with tons of photos of us.  I hope you like it, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I found our ziploc bags at the christmas tree store with no writing on them, also target has them with no writing if you buy their brand of bags

Erin, Im so glad you are making some progress with your AHR, Im sure everything will work out perfectly!!!

 

Well I got a ton of stuff accomplished this weekend, I feel pretty good about it actually, we FINALLY found my mom a dress, she looks amazing in it too, its it nice fitted turqoise satin dress that we found at macys Im so glad to finally check that off the list, I mean she bought like 8 dresses trying to find the perfect dress lol and we finally found one!!!

 

We bought a lot for FI too a lot of outfits for him to have for dinner, if anyone is looking for nice island clothes, macys is having all the cubavera clothes 50% off right now we got like 4 outfits for $120.00

 

I found a dress for the welcome dinner this picture does it no justice but its super cute on!!

 

And I bought this dress too, I posted it a while back for my mom to wear but she didnt like it so I bought it lol!!

Quick question-- For those of you who have done OOT bags.. and hangover kits with bag tops, where did you find the clear (without writing) ziplock bags? Everywhere I look all of the bags have writing on them, like freezer storage bags. I've even tried the cheap ones.

I tried getting the Gatorade powder packs in Canada - but they don't sell them here, and it's rediculously expensive to ship them here. Shocking, I know!!

Brandy those dresses are gorg!!! Don't worry, there is nothing like a tight deadline to make you realize how much you can accomplish in a short time!!! You'll do great! Thanks for the Gatorade tip Char! We have one more cross border trip to do, so it looks like I'll have to grab them then!

Good morning ladies!! I still have to go back and catch up from the weekend but for now here you go!!! ....

 

Yesterday was my final "fitting" .. ie. the last time I try on my whole dress together (top and bottom) before the big day!!!  my grandma was down for the weekend (the one who can't come to jamaica) and  I wanted to try it on for her so she can see me in it in person.  AND I actually remembered to get my mom to snap a pic!  So here you go.. all altered with the 8' + train GONE! I'm really happy with it!

 

 

oh! and there was more than enough fabric left over from the train that was removed.. my mom and I started cutting out the pattern for the cocktail dress I want to make!  She's going to finish cutting out today and I should be starting the sewing tonight. If all goes well, we might even have that done by the weekend!
