I feel like I've missed so much again!

 

Greys, I like the ribbon around the container with the label of what the candy is, the best.  That's they one that was used in the L-O-V-E picture.  Also, if you find those trays, can you tell me where?  I've been looking for them for our candy buffet we are doing at the AHR also.

 

Tris, your dress is goregous!  I absolutely love it!

 

Lisa, congrats on the weight lose, that is absolutely awesome! 

 

Michele, I'd love to take a look at the dresses.  I know if it was me, I would probably wear the original dress (the one your mom picked) and do the other dress for the TTD.  I know that means you have to take both, but if you are taking one...It's probably not much more to squeeze the second one in the same bag...  Also, enjoy your shower!!  I think my shower is in two weeks...but I'm not sure, it's a "secret"!!!!

 

Meggers, check Michael's website...sometimes you can get them on there....  I'm going to probably go there tonight as well, so I'm going to try and find a coupon too...if not, I'll wait until tomorrow.

My mom told me last night she got her extensions... I am so scared to see how she looks?!? She's a tiny Filipino woman that's 65. I think she is going to look younger than my FMIL who is only 47!

I had my first dress fitting this week. I'll have to post some pictures when my mom is able to upload them.

 

So, last night, my friend brought over a dress she had purchased, but did not wear for her wedding. She bought it for $200 at Filene's running of the brides, but retail is around $1200. She said I can HAVE it! I was going to wear it in my TTD session, but not sure I want to lug TWO dresses to Mexico. The other problem is that I think I might like that dress better than the one my bought for me. I think my mom would be hurt if I didn't wear "my" dress for the ceremony. So, I think I have to rule out any other option. Right? I'll have to post both dresses to get your thoughts (when I get both uploaded to the computer).

 

I feel like I've gotten a lot accomplished recently, programs and menus are underway. Not sure if I am missing anything! Only 43 days left!

 

Bridal shower day for me today! Yay! I can barely stand the wait for 1pm! Trying to keep myself busy so time goes by fast.

 

Have a great shower!  And what a GREAT deal on your 2nd dress!  What if you talked with your mom and gently mentioned that you don't want to lug 2 dresses down to Mexico, but promise to wear "your" dress to the AHR so that everyone can see you in it?

Michele, how was your shower??  I'm sure it was wonderful...I hope at least!!!

 

This morning FI and I went to two locations to have the AHR, while driving through the rain, mix of rain and snow, and finally snow, we decided that we aren't too sure about having our AHR outside near the lake, in case it's crappy weather and then it could get cold.  There is limited space under cover, which would be a VERY bad thing!!  So, this afternoon I was able to call two other locations that are indoors, and for the one I'd prefer to have it at, their ONLY date available for three months is the date we just decided to change the AHR to!  So, the guy who does the booking is suppose to call me tomorrow morning!!  I hope it works and is "meant to be"!!!!

 

Also, my mother got two dresses yesterday, because she's not sure which she'd rather have... so, that's another thing DONE!!!

Erin, I'm so happy to hear that things are working out better for your AHR.

 

I didn't have a very productive day for the wedding. The only thing I managed was to pick up a few things for the wedding day survival kits. I did manage a good score from Dollarama though, I found snorkels and swim goggles. I'm a little concerned that the ones supplied by the resort aren't that clean, so I had been looking for our own to bring. So I managed to get both for under $5!

My shower was so nice! My mom and sister really out-did themselves! My FI and I spend hours yesterday and today going through gifts! SO FUN! Thank you ladies for the well wishes. I hope your showers are as much fun as mine was!

 

Quick question-- For those of you who have done OOT bags.. and hangover kits with bag tops, where did you find the clear (without writing) ziplock bags? Everywhere I look all of the bags have writing on them, like freezer storage bags. I've even tried the cheap ones.

I actually have extra "treat bags" that I bought  from Michaels.  They aren't ziplock, but I folded them over and stapled them before stapling on the notecards that have the info on the contents.  How many do you need? I only used 8 out of 20. Let me know.

Glad your shower went well!!  For my ziplock bags, I bought the store brand bags at the local grocery store that are completely clear, no writing...
