These turned out soooo cute!  I wanted to make some but wasn't sure what template to use, so it's good I now know to use the rack cards!  I LOVE your logo!  Who designed it?  It is so pretty!

Wow, you ladies were very active after I left work today!!

Our wedding is at 1:30, and we can't have dinner until 7:00, possible 6:30 at the earliest.  At first I was kind of stressing about it because there is such a gap in time.  There is absolutely nothing we can do about it though.  I'm thinking of sending them back to do whatever they want, then setting a time to either do a cocktail hour or just meet up at one of the bars before dinner.  I'm not really going to worry about it though.

Francine, that stinks about your father's friend.  So annoying.  That's one reason my father didn't want to go to Mexico was because he kept hearing that it was dangerous.  He didn't take the time to research it and find that the biggest problem in Mexico is 1000 miles from where we are going to be!  I know I've always heard that if you go to the DR, it is highly recommended that you do not leave the resort.  That's one reason we didn't pick the DR.  I know the State Departments website (I check it regularly for travel warnings) says basically the same thing, you are safe at your resort, but it's not recommended that you leave the resort community other than to go to the airport.  I would certainly try to get rid of his feelings and stress that it's safe where you will be, and just to know go off the beaten path.  If he is adamant that he's not going, definitely transfer the room to your best friend.  But I would certainly try to convince him that it's okay.

Char, I really like the door hangers!  Nice work!

Thanks! I have never been to the resort, but have been getting great feedback, so I am excited!

I have only tried on dresses at David's Bridal and for their dresses I'm a size 4.

Don't stress too much about what you haven't gotten done yet!  The beauty of a DW is that it's on YOUR terms.....and the gorgeous scenery lends itself to so much.  What size of dress do you wear?

Just got home and got another package! YAY it is my teal lanyards. I LOVE them! Perfect color, cheap and great shipping. Laura totally get them!

Francine- so sorry to hear your parents are giving you a hard time. I would try to convince him but don't pressure them. I would just say do you really think I would take you somewhere that wasn't safe? I agree with Erin, just tell them to stay on the resort. I have been to the dominican twice and went on excursions and was fine but to put his mind at ease, all resorts have gates and guards. So sad :(

Char love the door hangers and the flower!!!

Francine, thats crazy about your fathers friends, my mom has a friend that always convinces her of things too, so aggravating!!! I would find some research of your own with good info and show him that if hes not convinced and really doesnt want to go then ask them about the other option, it doesnt hurt to ask I suppose.

And thank you for the photography tips/hints unfortunately beaches doesnt allow outside vendors onto the resort so I wont be having any photos of me getting ready or of the ceremony, thats why this whole thing is so tough for me to figure out!

Thanks for the support ladies, much appreciated. So, Brandy that's crazy about outside vendors, so how are you supposed to get photos of the important moments? I would recommend recreating some of those things when you do have the photographer there. You don't need to actually be in your room for the photojournalistic shots, your photographer can lay things out in the sand or you can bring blankets...or you can use some of the props from your ceremony, you're one of the girls doing parasols, right? You can also get really tight close-ups of thing like your dress being zipped up, clasping your necklace, putting in earrings, etc. You can also try to recreate the moment when your parents see you in your dress for the first time, etc. It may involve some "acting" but a good alternative to making sure you get the shots you want. Now I understand why this whole thing is stressing you out!

I am a huge fan of the cheesecake factory too. When I lived closer to the border, I would often hit up Buffalo instead of the local malls. A couple of my coworkers that have Nexus cards even go over once a week for groceries.

Oh and I alway go to flyerland and never thought to even check Michael duhhhh

Laura, you should check out the forums on http://redflagdeals.com

They always have a ton of deals for electronics and stuff other than groceries. I don't even want to think about how much I have spent because of the forum, even worse than here!

I totally think everyone that lives close to the border should take advantage of better selection and pricing in the U.S.  FI and I worked in a small border town for a couple of months and the border guards knew exactly who we were, where we worked and how long we had been dating. They even asked once if we were the only couple working on the site!

Also, check out the Toronto groupon for today, it's teeth whitening! I think we might try it out if they have good reviews.

Lisa I will definately let you know how it goes with the lash lady.

Lua, I wouldn't worry about the time it's the perfect amount of time for people to rest and freshen up.

My list for the weekend:

Book appointment for first fitting

Book Zoom whitening appointment for FI and I

Order Paper lanterns

Finalize ceremony decor ideas

Order my brother's tie

Gym. Yoga. Gym. Repeat.

And lastly.... decide on the stupid tote bags!!! I'm totally struggling with those.

Good luck with the weekend ladies! I can't wait to hear how it goes for all of you!

Thank you for posting the photo timing. I am having a hard time getting my sister to book her and my mom for hair appointments a couple of hours before the ceremony. Mostly because she is difficult, but now I have a better idea of a time line. We have a photographer for each of us getting ready, but I don't want to feel rushed that day.

Then, you'll have your ceremony and you'll want to get pictures with the whole group, plan out who you want pictures with and in what order and have a list to give to your photographer that day so that it doesn't feel like organized chaos.  You'll of course then do the photos with just you and your hubby.  You'll probably want some pictures of your entrance into where ever you are holding your reception and definitely some shots of your first dance.  I don't know if your cake is part of your ceremony like it is at my resort, but you can get some cake shots way before serving cake just so you have it and the photographer doesn't have to stick around till dessert time.  Not sure if you'll want pics of the bouquet or garter toss, but those are usually moments to capture.  Hopefully this helps.

Great idea. You could even ask a close guest.
