I had my first dress fitting today! It went awesome. It was nice because my BM Jenn got to tag along and she wasn't able to come with when I bought the dress. The bad news is I found out my super sexy shoes are much too tall for the dress.. and I don't want to try to add length to it. Boo! Back to square one.

 

Now invite making tonight! Yay!!

Brandy - I love the dress that you guys decided on!  Both are very cute actually!  Can you do me a favor?  Can you measure the heal of the sandals you bought (that I bought the tangerine's of) and tell me how high they are?  They look higher than the normal flip flop, and I don't believe I'll have mine in time for my fitting next week.

 

Tris - I'm glad your fitting went so well!  Mine is next Saturday!  That stinks about your shoes though, ugh, back at it!

Any chance any of you ladies know how to change the color of an image... i have this palm tree image that i want changed to orange but cannot figure out how for the life of me?!

Not a clue Teira, Ive always wondered that myself lol, which is the reason I paid someone to do all that stuff for me, bc I could never figure all that out!

 

Erin, well I checked the site and it says the heel height for the shoe is 2", and I measured my shoe and its more like 1 1/2" to be extremely exact its like maybe 2 or 3 marks over the 1 1/2" mark but I certainly wouldnt say 2" I would allow for the 1 1/2" unless for some odd reason each shoe varies!

Picked out FI Suit, just need to order it and find a shirt

Picked out Groomsmen's Pants just need to order them and find a shirt

Decided on DJ for AHR

Decided on when to send out invites for AHR

Put together initial guest list for AHR still needs a little tweaking and then I can start on my invites soon!

Found a really cute dress at Macys today to wear for dinner one night for $10.00!!!!

 

Going to a bridal show tomorrow!

We picked up all of our invite prints and tonight I've put together our "guide" (ie. super messy invite example). Tomorrow FI & I will assembly line them together. Omg they look great! I can't wait to post them tomorrow!! (I'm also taking pics to do a how to for DYI)

Brandy, I really like that suit.  Where did you find it?  My fiance doesn't seem to keen on wearing a suit, but I may be able to get him to wear this one, it's really perfect for a beach wedding.  Great find!

Francine, I found that suit online, they carry this brand at Macy's, the brand is cubavera, but they dont have any in stores right now! They do have them on Macy's website on sale I believe, but if you have a few things to order its best to go directly to cubaveras website bc if you order 5 wedding items you get 40% off your entire order!  But if you just want the suit only its probably best to go to macys.com since its on sale, you wont get the sale price on cubavera.  They sell 2 styles of pants as well, so if hes going for a more casual look you can get him the linen drawstring pants, Im going for the one pleat pants which are still really relaxed and loose as well.

Laura - So...bad news, apparently the 25 free brochures is just for those of you north of the border.  I don't know what I'm going to do now...  I hate to order them and then have them go free...I may try to make them on Word and see how they print.  Thank you though!

 

Brandy - Thank you for the info!  I had seen the 2" on the site, but I figured since you had them I'd ask because you never know until you get them.  My seamstress said it didn't really matter, but I wanted to still ask just to be sure!  Also - nice job on the checks!!  You were very accomplished, and that was just at the end of Saturday!
