Alright, maybe they were just out of stock when I went.  I'll keep looking.  I'm sure you could get the loops on ebal or amazon.

We were actually just wondering this too Lua.  Also, what are you doing to "notarize" your documents to get married in Jamaica?  Do you just take them to a lawyer or doctor to notarize?  Not sure how all of that works.

I got some really cute starfish necklaces online for only $4.40 each!!  They're from China so they take a while to get in, but I liked them so much, I bought them for almost everyone!  Super cheap!  Let me know if you're interested and I can find the link to send to you.

Lua - I don't know how it is done in Canada, since I'm clearly from the States, but you'll definitely want to look into it.  I know for us in the States, our marriage is only recognized if we go through the process of getting the license sent into the State Department and then there is that whole process.  That's why for us it's so much easier (and cheaper) to do it legally here.  Our country just doesn't reconize a marraige outside of the states (for US citizens), unless they go through a bunch of paperwork.

Perhaps I'll give the court house here a call and ask.

as for getting notarized documents unfortunately it costs (at the courthouse) unless you luck out and have a lawyer that will do them for free.  i'm going to give my lawyer a call in the next few weeks to see what he can do for us

Laura, You should be able to find a notary for $15-25 per document. I know we do that for invoices at work. I know our legal ceremony in Mexico is valid in Canada.

Lisa, what did you have to send for your marriage application. We were just bringing our long form birth certificates with us.
