April 2011 Brides

Oh you don't sew them onto your head, you sew them onto the clips. The clips have little holes on the sides of them... you layer the hair up 2 or 3 layers, then sew through the holes wrapping it around the edge of the hair... I don't really sew either, but it's super simple... easier to show someone then to type out though :S

I found this, this is pretty much how I do it.

Tris, that video made it look super easy.  I think I'll have to head to the beauty supply store and get supplies.  I'm sure the salon at the resort will know how to put them in for me (although I watched a video on how to put them in as well)  Just have to decide now if I'm going to be changing my hair color between now and April.  Thanks again!

Hey Lisa, your excitement on ordering your sand ceremony vases makes me want to share too! The umbra ether frame (layered frame) is available on the Linen's and Things (www.lnt.com) website and they're having a sitewide sale of 20% off plus free shipping (code HOLIDAY2010)!  Also, if anyone is buying their sand separately, it looks like Blick Art Supplies (www.dickblick.com) sells colored sand in 2lb bags for under $3.  I'll probably go to the local store to save on shipping and get some inspiration for other projects... ;)

THEY'RE HERE! THEY'RE HERE!!!

My flowers FINALLY arrived!! and the wait was WELL worth it! :)

I am soooo happy with them! Close up you can obviously tell they're fake, but I have them sitting here next to my on my desk and literally from a foot away, they look TOTALLY REAL!!!

My only complaint is that my turquoise ones look WAAAAAY darker than they did online, which sucks. BUT I was already playing around with them all, they still look absolutely AMAZING in a bouquet.

So guess what I'll be doing this weekend???? ;) hehe

So excited!!

fmichelle,

Ya it's super easy! I was worried at first but my sister assured me it was so easy and really worth doing yourself (and she was right).

Make sure you get GOOD QUALITY hair though, not fake synthetic stuff... the good quality is real human hair that you can curl, style and use over and over. I got mine for ~ $100 and it's enough for me to make 2 sets of hair (that sounds so weird)...  the clips were like $5...

Here's a pic of my Momma and I from my social with my hair extensions in... so real :)
