I'm so anxious for these flowers to come!  They're shipping via FedEx from the US, so my fingers are crossed that they show up at my office this week!   If they work out I'll be so happy!  With the hefty shipping charge, they cost $62.... BUT that's still much cheaper than the $150 that people are charging for already made real-touch bouquets!

Lua - First, that's so exciting about your brother!  Looks like mom has talked some sense into him!  Yay!!!  Second - I love the choices of the flowers.  I think the blue gerber daisies are the same ones that I just picked up, but in orange.  I love them!  They look like the same exact flowers, if they are, you'll love the quality of them!  I bought 18 of them, 6 for each of my girls bouquets.  It's great getting things accomplished, isn't it??

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned... I know last week someone mentioned Men's Warehouse having a sale, but what are you guys doing for FI and groomsmen (if you are having them)?  I looked through Men's Warehouse last night, along with many other places, and I only came up with one things...  I'm looking for linen shirts, but would prefer a dark purple.  Though, the dark purple doesn't look like it exsists?  I know I can ask on the attire board, but I thought I'd check here first...

Ella - where did you get the orange gerberas?  I placed my order with afloral.  I went with the green orchids because of the amazing reviews on the site, but there were no reviews on the other flowers so i'm really hoping they look just as good in person.

 

As for groomsmen attire, unfortunately I'm of no help.  We're not having bridesmaids or groomsmen, so we only had to worry about my dress and FI's attire.  And he just went with a light beige linen suit, with a white shirt and turquoise tie - got it all from H&M last summer.  We lucked out finding everything there when we weren't looking!  Because if we hadn't found it, I don't even know where we'd look.

I got them at a local place here in Vermont.  It's a florist supply company here that is more of a whole saler...  my photographer and her mother have an account there, and she let me use it to purchase the flowers!  I really like them and I've gotten a lot of comments on them about how they look so real!  The petals are also kind of rubber-y and feel kind of real.  They have the same exact green stem, so that's why I'm thinking they are probably the same thing, just different color.

 

 

I found some orange shirts at MWH, but we have one guy who has strawberry blonde/light red hair and I'm worried about how it will look together...  Even though you are "no help"  thanks for commenting...  It's going to be a harder thing to find I think right now because everything is "winter" clothing... in a few months they'll stock up on summer clothes, maybe I'll look then.  I was thinking just a white or beige linen outfit for the guys... but I don't know!  I told FI Wednesday night that he needed to start thinking about it, he was like.... really?!  Then comes home Saturday night from camp and Sunday I hear, "hey, will you look at Men's Warehouse and see what they have?"  I responded with, "Really, it's not my job?!  No... you can tackle that, thank you very much!!!"  (Then, I went and looked to know what was out there!)

Yeah,  I'm thinking you might have an easier time in the new year when the spring/summer stuff gets into stores. 

 

At least I'm hoping spring/summer stuff gets into stores before we head south!  I still need some strapless bathing suits and at least one more strapless top for my first 3 days.

It was me that mentioned the sale at MW. I told FI to check it out and to get suit sizes for at least him and his dad so we could order and check out the quality. We were going to order tuxedos because that's what FI wants to wear. When I asked again last night, I was reminded that I told him he could have until January 1st to decide. And then he figured he would be able to sweet talk me into waiting a few more weeks. It's almost lke no one understands that you can't wait until the week or even the month before and expect to get something decent!  But like you other girls, hopefully some more summer stuff will be available before we leave.

 

Lua, it's great to hear that you will have your whole family there. Sometimes they just need to be told what to do. I've decided that being nice and suggesting things isn't as effective as being Bridezilla. hehe.

 

Ella, good luck finding the right purple. I was going to suggest studiosuits.com but it doesn't look like they carry too many dark shades.

I was thinking because it's winter and the only real time of the year for dark colors to be out in our area at least...  We are heading to NH on Friday and maybe we can look at some stores there, they always have different things than we have in our little state of Vermont!  My fingers are crossed.....

Laura- Thats so great that your brothers and FSIL are coming to the wedding! And we would love to see pics of your boquet after you make it, its going to be gorgeous, you picked a great combo!!

 

Erin- Have you tried Macy's they always have a ton of different colors to choose from, I think we are going to have to wait until they put out the spring/summer stuff bc I havent been able to really find anything either.
