Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  Thanks for the tip about Men's Warehouse, my FI has been dragging his feet about buying his clothes, even though I've had my dress since August (which he even paid for).  I've been buying a few things here and there, found an awesome flower for my hair on eBay, bought my chair sashes, got reed diffusers for the OOT bags, got my shoes...but while you all are having trouble with brothers, I'm having trouble with sisters.  My FSIL is definitely not coming now and neither is one of my sisters.  I know that my FI and I said we would be happy if at least our parents came, and both sets are coming, but it'll be weird without our sisters.  Both of them live in Vegas, so maybe we'll just have to do our AHR there.  We'll see. We've got two more booked, my FI's cousin and his wife, bringing us to 13.  I'm hoping that my friends that are waiting until after the new year are able to find deals because the resort's 25% off ends November 30th.

 

On another note, my friend who is a destination wedding photographer and will be shooting my wedding has asked me to email her what I want and I have some ideas, but I'm thinking I'm missing something. I know I want her to get me getting ready, some make-up shots, some hair shots, my dress and other items photojournalistic style, some shots of my FI getting ready (and his reaction when she give his the BD book), then the ceremony, some shots on the beach during cocktails with us and family (and probably everyone since it'll be such a small group), our first dance, any toasts, cake cutting, and some details of food and such at the ceremony, and then the trash the dress the next day.  Is there something I'm missing? I'm actually a wedding videographer here, but I'm not sure if all the moments I shoot on video corresponds with what the photographers shoot.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I just told FI that he needed to think about what he's going to be wearing... he kind of looked at me as though I had three heads!!  He was like, I have no idea....I'll probably just go to Men's Warehouse!  I told him I knew he had no idea...that's why I was mentioning it!  It will totally be a last minute thing!

 

Regarding pictures...I'm still trying to figure that out as well.  I know I want pictures of us getting ready, him getting ready, and then pictures along the beach.  Also I plan to do a big group picture with everyone who travels south with us...other than that, I'm not sure myself!

Hey i saw on the sash sharing thread that you bought the fuchsia and orange (pumpkin) colored sashes, when you get them would you mind posting a couple pictures of them. I was going to order them but on my computer the fuchsia looks really magenta-y and the pumpkin didnt look as vibrant as im looking for but the price is too great to pass up.

Teira, they are being delivered to my sister's house, but I will have her send me a picture that I can post once they arrive. I plan on tying them together so hopefully they will look good together.

Finally, I have uploaded my pictures of the chapstick I did last weekend.  I did three different designs...

 

I was happy with the way they came out.  I definitely like the first two designs the best, but either way, I'm still happy with them!

big news!!!

 

well I expressed to my mom last week how upset I was about my brothers going on other trips, but not coming to my wedding..... well saturday, my mom calls .. "Your brothers are coming to the wedding." me: "Huh? how?"  mom: "Don't ask how. But they're coming from Friday-Monday" (we're going to be there wed-wed) ... So there we have it! My 2 brothers, SIL. and SIL-to-be are now going to be at my wedding. Makes me feel better!  Also makes me kind of hope no one else books so our group stays small!!! lol we're now at 24 guests for the big day! Totally didn't see that one coming!

 

on another note, my mom came over yesterday afternoon to go over flowers with me and we finally placed an order!  We decided it was best to buy sooner than later just incase I don't like how they look. I've been going back and forth with colour choices and finally decided on my original plan

 

Here's what we bought:

 

12 of these (5 for my bouquet and the rest for other decorations)

 

4 of these (3 for the bouquet and the other to make FI's bout)

And 1 of these

I'm really excited to see them and see how they work together in person!!!
