mochamakes --- I'm actually on the hunt now for a couple of strapless bikini tops to wear the 3 days before my ceremony  (I arrive Wed. and the wedding is Sat).  Hopefully that will give me a nice even tan before my big day.  It's all a matter of finding something though. I cringe at the thought of spending a ton on a simple bikini top! I hope to find a couple that will just match the bottoms of bathing suits I already have.  I have 1 strapless sun dress and hope to find a few tube tops or something to wear for those 3 days.

Quick question for everyone else, what are you doing to prevent tan lines before the wedding. I think it's going to be hard since we all have to be there a few days before the ceremony.

 

There is another thread about this and the pretty much everybody said they plan on wearing a strapless swimsuit, like bandeau style, or some plan on wearing big sun hats and lots of SPF. One of the girls posted a link to this great site www.everythingbutwater.com , they have tons of swim suits and i know for me that hard part was that i'm top heavy (DD) so finding something to support the girls is never easy without straps but i actually found an awesome Tommy Bahama strapless top with underwire (on sale for $28) which im hoping with help a lot. I'm also worried about my MoH, she is super pale and has be known to sunburn in the middle of Canadian winter! I pray she won't be red and toasty throughout the trip.

i love that top! but... they want $55 just to ship it here to Ontario!!!!! so not worth is sadly...

just make sure she's good about applying and RE-applying her sunscreen!!! i find the spray ones make it sooo easy to do that.

 

we're also coming to the time of year where sunscreen will start to go on sale here in Ontario, so keep your eyes open for them and stock up!

$55 to ship to Ontario?! That's insane! Is it that expensive on most shipping things to Canada?

I know I couldn't believe it!  I started the ordering process then saw $55 for expedited shipping with no option for anything else and then closed my browser!  That's definitely a rediculous shipping charge to come to Canada. Especially for something that could realistically be shipped in an envelope!  We ship things to the US all the time (from sales on ebay) and a box that this top could fit in only costs us $5 to ship south!

I hadn't given the tan lines all that much thought, but I better get on it.  I will be in Cuba for an entire week before the ceremony, so I need a few bathing suit options.  I have 2 tube tops already but they're old and just average.  Will have to get on that before all the bathing suits clear out for winter!

Lua - do you have family or friends in the US? If so you could have it shipped to them for the $10 shipping and then they could ship to you for like $5 , that would end up saving at least $40.
